Oakland, CA - Just over 12,000 Raider fans descended upon McAfee Coliseum on Oakland to get a glimpse of their beloved 2007 Raiders football team. Just like last year, the fans were allowed to travel throughout the Coliseum and stand next to and take pictures with the Raiders' three Lombardi trophies, take pictures with the Raiderettes, and the player's lockerroom. Plus, fans were given a chance to experience life in the exclusive West and East Side Clubs of the stadiums and get autographs by the players.

In addition to seeing and listening to Raider Legends of the Gridiron, for the first time the fans were treated to an actual training camp session at the Oakland Coliseum! Fans were able to watch QB/Wide Receiver drills, special teams workouts, along with 1-on-1, 7-on-7, and 11-on11 drills.

The day was highlighted by the players "letting their hair down" and interacting with the fans. RB LaMont Jordan played catch with some fans in the field level seats, players threw footballs into the stands (and almost nailed a fan eating his nachos), and a rare sight of the gregarious DT Warren Sapp dancing HEARTILY in the endzone as I would imagine he would if he were in a nightclub gettin' "Crunk" with Adam 'Pacman' Jones "making it rain" or out on the ave. with rapper E-40 and Keak the Sneak gettin' Hyphy (if you're from the Bay Area or from the South, you know EXACTLY what I mean). It stirred the crowds in attendance into a tizzy as chants of "WAR-REN-SAPP...WAR-REN-SAPP" could be heard throughout.

It was a day for the entire family and was punctuated by several players coming to the mic to address the fans. Most notable was that same 'Hyphy' Warren Sapp speaking to the fans and bringing the crowd to their feet and getting them pumped for the regular season.

herez pics n stuff

Damn looks like they had lots of fun. Glad to be a Raider fan. Warren Sapp looks like a linebacker. He doesn't have a gut at all.

you're right it is only $5...to you and me thats not much...but what about a family with 5 fairly older kids that want to go...thats $30..what if they can;'t afford it???

What you just mentioned happens EVERYDAY twice a day at broncos training camp, for free!

so sure I agree with you it's only $5...but look at it from Al...he too should be saying..what's an extra $5 to keep my fans happy?

this is nothing but a money making scheme from your beloved Raiders camp to once again show what type of an orginiazation they run compared to others in the NFL

btw its free to season ticket holders.. and children 16 and under I believe are free as well... It didnt hurt to throw in $5 to help my team out.. And this wasnt a typical training camp.. as we know the Raiders dont have their training camp open to the public like most teams..

ras I guess you miss my point...I agree with you it's only $5.

But what you described is free for alot of other NFL teams....Hell I watched nfl network the other night and they had fox family free night for the green bay packers..this is a free even every year where they get to do what you said...AND had fireworks show at the end.

Like I said Denver does this free every day.

It just seems to be to be a poor practice for a team that claims to be as beloved to thier fans as the Raiders.
