I mean really though, Alex Smith had his bright points, so has JR, we dont know who will be better, just cuz 1 player is better on paper or what not, doesnt mean he will do better.

It's funny how Chree gets on JR when he didn't even play in the pre-season. He still ended up throwing twice as many TD's as Alex did in their rookie season and Alex played in pre-season games and started.

JaMarcus rookie season (no pre-season) 2 TD's, 4 INT's
Alex rookie season (with pre-season games and regular season starts) 1 TD, 11 INT's.

Alex Smith and Tim Rattay both played in the pre-season. Tim Rattay started the season as the qb because he beat Smith out for the job.

JR didn't compete for the starting position because he missed camp time and pre-season. So you're making yourself look real stupid by saying McClown and Culpepper beat JR out when JR wasn't even there to compete.

Im not judging by looking at them on paper..Im judging by watching both play as rookies. There is alot of factors that come into play tho, like the team around them and the coaching staff. We'll just have to wait and see.
