Just curious to what you all think..after seeing 2 front page articles on the Grizz (espn.com and usatoday.com) i was wondering what do the people think of Jason Williams?
Obviously, JWill and Webber brought attention back to Sacramento 5 years ago, after Sacramento had a 14 year playoff drought.
But which verison of JWill do you all prefer...We are talking about a player in Sacramento who YES, was ENTERTAINING, but Williams had a dreadful assist-to-turnover ratio of 2.43-to-1. Caoch Adelman routinely sat Jason out of the 4th quarters in late games as a result...But His first year under Brown(in memphis) he was second in the league at 3.76-to-1. He entered Monday fourth at 3.69-to-1.
Memphis dosent get(is starting to get it now) the national exposure of the Kings or Lakers or other Western Teams, so thats why cats are so quick to say now that "Jwill use to be nasty in Sacramento"..Well he is doing the same flashy moves, and still breaking ankles and all that, he is doing all this while playing UNDER control though..he got spoiled in Sac, got used to Webbers good hands and when he 1st came to memphis he clashed with management and with Pau Gasol(who is no Webber), but the past 2 seasons, he has been running the team, finishing out games, and leading the team to a 44-26 record thus far(5th in west) 29-8 in the year of 2005, and 13-4 since the allstar break(best in NBA)..
so just give me some feedback as to what you all see..
yeah we are not a team that gets constant espn night-cast or TNT games, but Jwill is holding things down, and when the new NBA tv schedule comes out in the fall, Memphis is absolutely gonna double there "national games" atleast from 8 to 19.
give me yall your opinion..
