It depends on what brand you get. A decent set will be in the 150$ range. However If you want to have SUBS + Tweets/Mids you will need 2 AMPS and a distribution cap + another power wire kit.

If your lookin for some knock this is what Id go with. You can probably get it for under 1,000$ on ebay.

2 12" Kicker solobaric L7 or 2 12" JLaudio W6v2. That will be about 400$ total. Grab a 1200.1 JBL amp around 200$. After that go to a local shop or place that can build a boxes for subs 50-100$ shop around. Most people go ported for big bass, I think you want 1.3CUfT per chamber with those subs (Im not sure, go check their websites). Then for Mid/highs Id get the infinity kappa series or Rainbows. Those are like 200$. Grab a 2 channel 100 watt amp for those around 100$. You shit will knock.

if i was you... you might as well do it right the first time. you got a bmw, so you probably gonna have it for a minute.

put two 3-way 6x9's in the back. you'll have to get that done at a beat shop. put atleast a 300watt amp on those. if its done right your x9's will sound knock by themselves.

put 2 12's in the trunk. i'd suggest gettin that custom fit to your trunk too, cuz its nice to be able to use your trunk for other shit than a big ass bandpass box. and like that cat said atleast a 500watt amp on your 12's. yo shit will be slappin' compared to 4 6's

I FEEL WHAT YOU ARE SAYING AND BY THE WAY MY BMW IS A 81 YEAR MODEL SO I REALLY DON'T KNOW HOW MUCH LONGER I WILL HOLD ON TO IT.. MAYBE TILL I GET TO 200,000 MILES RIGHT KNOW I'M ON 162,000 MILES.. BUT I THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP..

There is a difference between SUBS AND SPEAKERS. I doubt they even make 12 or 10" speakers. Go to www.crutchfield.com and put in your car make. They will tell you what size speakers your car will fit. A car/truck/ride can fit whatever type of sub you want 10", 12", 15" as long as you got the room.
