I remember hearing that he played football at city college of sf and broke hella rushing records. can anyone confirm this?

Dubee played for Hogan High School here in Vallejo, and was given a full ride scholarship to Washington State. He gave it up to rap when Khayree got that deal, though.

The way I look at it, he had about as much chance of goin pro as he did of goin platinum. That's not a diss, be no means, but you gotta look at the odds. He was as talented of a football player as he is a rapper, and could have choose either path. We discussed this topic a few weeks ago, and he basically followed his heart.

Dubee is a funny muthafucka! TURFMATIC took a few listens for me to get used to, but now it's one of my favorite CDs to party to!!! But yeah, I remember seeing his picture on the front cover of TURF BUCANNEERS and thinking that'd he'd be big enough to really hurt someone if he wanted to...Glad he became a rapper, too, though.
