I got a feeling ps3 is poised to take over with the death of hd dvd. Its not about the blu ray player, but the ps3 games can hold more info because of the blu ray format, plus now that the blu ray vs hd dvd shit is over, more people are going to buy ps3 and xbox is going to be left scrambling to stay relevant once ps3 really starts picking up steam.

Yup.......

the ps3 games are going to have much more detail because the capacity the blu-ray holds. therfor the games are going to be longer and look better

^^^ Incorrect.

Blu ray does not make a game better. In actuallity, it makes for much longer loading times. Take a look at Devil May Cry 4. The PS3 version makes you install most of the game on to the hard drive before you play. Now this wouldn't be so bad, if it didn't take 20-25 minutes for it to install. 90% of the games released on Blu Ray would still fit on a 360 DVD.

Yes, that is right, if you want to play DMC4 on the PS3, you have to wait for a fucking half hour. On the 360, you can start playing as soon as you insert the disc.

The 360 has better games, a better controller, and a much better online service. There are optional add ons for the 360, but NONE of them are required for you to play a game.

I own both systems. I like both systems. With that being said. I would go with the PS3. Games look better, In game physics are better. Game worlds and levels are huge to explore...horizontally and vertically. Not to mention it also doubles as a home computer. You can browse the web, check email, YouTube, Siccness ...my new site coming soon (shameless plug) www.PS3Channel.com out of the box! I have Linux installed on it as
well. Running Snes and Mame emulators. Not so good for the Version I have. Going to put Yellow Dog linux on it. You can upgrade the hard drive your self from your local computer store. Doesn't effect the Game OS. That's installed in the firmware. So if your hard drive goes south. Just get a new one. No prob. The main thing is the games. Much better on the PS3. HOME is about to be released as well. Which will be much better than XBox Live...and I love XBox Live.
HOME will be like Myspace/XBox Live/Siccness/Your House. But in virtual reality.

It took Sony a while ...but things are coming around. Keep in mind I own both systems and I have played/used them both extensively . THE PS3 IS A BEAST! and will be for a long time to come. Yeah some games need to be installed partially...ONCE! Some of the early games were shit. Game studios just now are really understanding the programming aspect of the PS3 and taking full advantage of it.

Dood... don't even get me started on that lame ass fucking Home. How is it going to be better than xbox live? Because instead of actually playing a fucking game, you walk around and talk to other lame ass squares?

Home and Live are two completely different things. Home is like fucking myspace, but sadder.

Can you download HD movies on your PS3? Do you have a friends list to see who is online, playing a different game on PS3? Can you send messages to someone playing a different game on PS3? No, but with Home, you can walk around and be bored for hours...
woo fucking hoo!

Name 5 games that are better on the PS3 than the 360. It can't be done.

xbox live cannot be fucked with theyve had five years to tweak and perfect it. does ps3 even have cross game invites or in game freinds list support if so is it only on certain games that support it? ive also read that the multiplatform versions of games look worse on ps3(ie assassins creed) because develpors dont spend the money to take the extra time to code the game for the ps3 better so extra disc memory really dosn't matter if game developers dont take advantage of it .

I think you got it wrong. There are games and the arcade in Home. You invite friends over and they can watch YOUR movies and listen to your music on your hard drive. All new games now must have Home integration and can be launched from with Home. Say with your COD4 clan for example. It's a WHOLE lot more going on with this than you think.

Xbox live sucks because you have to pay extra for it like everything microsoft does. The playstation network is completely free. I'll take the free PSN over paying for X-Box live any day.

The disc space on the blu-ray hasnt been used yet but wait till it does...... MGS4 for example takes 40 gigs of info........ you would need a four disc set to play that game on the 360 LOL....
LOL, OHHHHHHH SHHHHHIIIIIITTTTTTTTTTTT! 4 DISC's your CLOWNIN' em homie

whats the problem with more discs? people have to get up and change it? people that lazy? Is it that big of a deal?

You literally pay for what you get, QUALITY.

I gotta agree with Masked Lemon. People keep issuing those damn " well when the ps3 ", "soon the ps3 will" statements.... You keep hoping and waiting for this and that. And besides, the whole Blue Ray winning out thing is funny as fuck, why are you people so focused on blue ray movies and not actually gaming on the console?
