just to let you guys know my boy went to wal-mart and copped 3 ps3s and got 3 free $100 gift cards when you buy one. he returned all 3 and got to keep the gift cards. its a promo they got going.

yup it's true.....the add was in last sundays paper. the promo ends today. Weds night at midnight I went up there and copped the MGS4 80 gig bundle and got the $100 gift card.

and this is what someone on another site said about this:

"If you keep your receipt, they'll give you the money back for the PS3 minus $100. The receipt will be stamped showing you picked up the gift card.

If you try it without the receipt, it's up to the management. The serial number will show when the PS3 is purchased. Depending on the store, they might not take back the PS3 at all without a receipt."

I just bought mine... They gave me the $100 giftcard up-front... They had trouble loading it, tho... & plus, it's on the receipt, so I'm pretty sure that when I return it, they'll deduct the $100 from whatever they give back to me.

why buy the 80 gig for an extra $100 when you can spend less and use the gift card u already have to buy an $89 dollar 160gb hd? not everyone cares about msg4, and u can get a dualshock controller with the 40gig as part of the bundle.
