I copt a messy marv verse for 700 and that was a deal considering what he wonted(1,500). I just told him I didnt have it but I got 700 right in hand for you. That nigga marv was at the studio in 20min.. He didnt stay long he just gave me a verse and bounced but I still got a verse. I got hella love from cmt too but that was cause of my people.

A lot of time other artist fuck it up for everyone else, just because they don't have a mouth piece!

Example!! Once some idiot pays top dollar for a LOCAL artist (let's say around a G) that artist is always going to ask for that amount or more because he now knows idiots will pay that! Now if everyone stayed at a certain amountn that artist would have no option but to get paid 300 or 500 max!

Now I agree what the JACKA does is scandlous.....why give artist verses that are recycled? But he lives by his name THE JACKA....lolol basicallt he knows that verse won't ever seen the sunlight! Or that artist will ONLY print 1000 cd's and 500 of the 1000 will be kept in the garage.

3 pages of this thread and I still don't understand it!

Yeah, it is definitely a situation to situation issue. it depends on your relationship w/whoever it is you tryna get. If you know somebody who can get you the joog, etc. Another big thing is if they feel like you're gonna do anything with the song, feel me? If you got your shit together and look like you might be able to hustle it and its a good look for the artist, they'll more than likely give you a better price.

Love this thread! It does matter on your relationship with the artist. The potential of the track also matters, if its Jo Blo and its his first album, he has no audience, you pay more! If you have some type of following you pay less...Plus it always depends how badly the artist needs money at the time! Ha Ha
