Wow!

After reading this shit......it seems like a bunch of bullshit!

Think about it....if Big Rich only sold 3000 units...basically less then 5000 how can any other local artist pay that much for any features? 10,000 for yaboy? Lolol people have the game twisted if going to pay that much for a feature and basically only print 1000 units and go FLATinum!

Just doesn't make sense!

are these artists actually goin' to get anyone to buy your album.. i won't.. quinns been on 2 billion albums.. he's tight.. but i ain't pickin up an album for his feature.. you gonna have a feature.. at least make it somewhat rare.. like say you got lynch on your shit.. he has a dedicated fanbase and since he doesn't drop an album everymonth his fans might pick up your shit just for one track he's on.. that's just how i look at it.

Where'd you get the info for the numbers Big Rich did? I would have expected it to sell more than 3 thow with all the promotion.

Diego Redd gets 500 all day for features...people in the central valley buy his shit, so it makes sense if you trying to get into a market out here...and he's already moved over 3000 mixtapes in less then a month in the streets and it's slated to drop nationally the first of janurary...

i say get it while it's cheap...holla if you need a 16....

People are chargin' a grip man.
don't be fooled by the price...
the price will be high if you go thru a manager. because the manager will wanna get they cut of course. but if you talk directly to the artist, in person or on the phone, then anything is negotiable. you can slang beats and some skrill for a verse, they may reudce the price, maybe they want an ounce. some of these cats ya'll named, they charge way less than what you think. real recognize real.

You guys act like 2 racks is a lot to spend on an artist? Damn...the reality is if you spend some money and have some solid features its a safe play. You will get people to check you out sometimes based on those features. I can remember a lot of artists who I took a chance on based on who was on it. I can guarantee you booking an artist will increase your sales. I mean you sell 300 records at 7 each you have already re-couped. You gotta spend money to make money in this business. May as well give yourself the best shot.

I wouldnt pay no more then a G for anybody. Jacka wonts 2,000 and 90% of the verses he have on other people shit be recycled or a brand new 8 and a recyled 8.
I wouldnt suggest going threw somebody manager either. The artist might wont a g and thats what the manager wonts to. Managers dont manage for free.
If you can have a sit down with artist or catch them at the club. Have what all these rappers love and caint say no to(Purple, white girl, thizzles). Also try buying drinks and chopping it with artist. Let that nigga know where you coming from. It dont hurt to spend a 100 and try to save 500. I will tell yall it dont work all the time.
