I hella agree with this. I started doing this when I was 8 and I met a british lady who done did it.

shredded is cool too, but a pain in the ass to cook right, especially the frozen stuff

Nah, I don't mess with the shredded frozen stuff, you have to shred them yourself for the best results. It's much easier that way to fry them to when fresh shredded unlike the frozen stuff. Although the actual shreding part is probably more of a pain overall lol. But shredded hash browns are the best in my opinion.

You ever used to eat at Mr. Bills Butcher? Any breakfast you got their for the most part the whole bottom of the plate was freshky shredded hash browns. It was awesome. RIP Mr. Bills.

I don't know about you guys, but I don't ever feel like taking the time to make homemade mashed potatoes, so we always use these. They're quick and easy and taste great. Lots of folks that have been over for dinner always ask what they are because they're so good.
