Buicks, Cadillacs and Oldsmobiles made up until (roughly) 87 are fresh as fuck.


The 96 Impala's are tight, but unless you've got the SS, they commonly blow head gaskets as well as piston rings. Mfkrs be driving on 6 cylinders for half a year and dont know it.
The Impala was only an SS model. And trust me, you'd most definitely know you had a blown piston ring. Your shit would run so rich and be at a near complete loss of power.

Once again, Tony, the IMPALA WAS ONLY AN SS MODEL. NON-SS Impala's were called Caprice's. Sure, that's a technicality, but I know no one that tells people they have a stock '96 Impala. It's a Caprice.

You had a 9C1 Caprice, which was similar to the Impala, but the biggest difference was the size of the sway bars and a few other suspension upgrades GM added to the Impala SS.
