Photoshop Issues

Lately, when I been doing work in photoshop and when I try to save it, it'll freeze up on me. The "save as" or just the "save" option thing that pops up, it'll show up quickly disappear and the program will freeze. I tried to reinstall it but its telling me I need an actual disc to do that. So...does anybody have any possible solutions?

how much ram do you have? I wouldn't do less than 2GB when running the adobe suite. Personally my laptop runs with 4GB and since then Ive never had PS freeze once

it doesnt matter about the ram size it matters more of the quality of ram i have 512 mb of expensive ram and ive done projects with up to 80 layers and some things 4 ft by 8 ft long in 300dpi and never froze on me

if you didnt actually buy photoshop and using a cracked code that could be the reason. I know cuz thats what i was told lol
