how are these phones? Im thinkin of askin one for xmas since i cant think of anything else worth askin for. are they good phones? what are some bad and good things about them? and is the edge internet really that slow on them?

i dont want a 16 gb ipod touch since mine right now is 60 gbs and is full of mp3s. id rather have a new phone and its got free internet on it with full websites. thaats why i want it. oh yeah its a ipod on top of it.

and whats the deal with the insurances on the iphone? i heard you cant get a insurance plan on it only thru apple which covers the basics if its faulty? so what happens if i drop it and something fucks up? i gotta buy a new phone?

^^ the first one i bought was fucked up. it didnt get any service or internet. i took it to at&t and they told me to return it to the apple store. i lost my receipt so i thought they were going to be dicks about it. it comes with a free 1 year warranty.. and they exchanged it for a new one in 10 minutes without asking for a receipt. but if it looks like its been through hell and back they might ask a few questions.

I got one... got it the first day it came out. Price isn't the point, but it is the best phone I've ever had.

I've hacked mine, got nintendo and some other coo games on here. Putting ringtones isn't a challenge and no I don't pay for them either.

my wife got me one like on the second week they were out...most def. the best phone i've ever had. i've had no problems wit makin calls, usin the internet, ipod, nothin. i just wish the battery lasted a little longer cuz it drains pretty quick when you use the ipod, internet, etc. i got my iphone hooked up to my wireless connection at home and the internet runs pretty damn quick on it. if the price ain't a problem i would definately suggest pickin one up.

My ex got one and she plays with it all the time, Seems like a dope phone but she said she gets plenty of dropped calls. Don't think I want AT&T/Cingular anytime soon.

best phone ever. the only downside is no messenger programs, no picture messaging and you arent able to listen to ipod while browsing the net. (glitch theyre still working to fix)

also edge is slow in most areas but if your around an unprotected wifi signal that works

go for it..

overall its the best phone i've ever had, but once it finally gets opened up for third party development (feb 08) and the programs start to roll its really gonna be great.

my advice - if you've waited this long already, just wait till the next one comes out. more storage, and 3G internet will make a big difference.
