If you don't know about Afghanistans history then keep your mouth shut. Afghanistan has been an islamic country for nearly 1200 years. But the peoples of Afghanistan practise one of the most tolerant and liberal Islam cultures in the world.

Great Britain tried to occupy Afghanistan in the 19th and 20th centuries and to expand their british-india terretory since there were no Pakistan. They declared war to Afghanistan 3 times and they have lost 3 times.

If you don't know America has encouraged and supportet Islamic groups in Afghanistan during the soviet-afghan war 1979-1989 to fight the soviets. They didn't think about the consequences at that time. They just wanted break down the soviets economy. America supported the Mujaheddin (Mujahed is a person who fights Jihad) with Stingers and other weapons. After war America just stopped the support, they didn't even make the demilitarization.

Ok the Taliban is a product of the pakistani secret service ISI (Interservices Intelligence). They formed these radical group of young uneducated teenagers in Madrassas (mosque), most of them are orphans, to disequilibrate the political situation in Afghanistan after the soviet-afghan war.
A large number of Taleban are pakistani, arabs from almost every arabic country, also from Bangladesh, Sudan, Tshetshnya and even from China! As you may know they even had an american Taleban! If they really wanted to kill all americans they would execute him first. Pakistan and Saudi-Arabia supported Taliban all the time.
But after 9-11 they changed the allegiance and started talking about fighting the terror groups. Pakistan is the real terrorist. They have always practised anti-afghan politics because of the Pashtunistan krisis, they also tried to draw off Indias attention from Kashmir. Pakistan is one of the most anti-american, anti-democratic country in the world. The Taleban banned eveything, TV, Radio, Sports, they closed all schools (except the Madrassas). Damn even the Taleban leaders, the mullahs are illeterate!!! The Taleban even destroyed the 2000 year-old Buddha statues in the afghan province Bamyan which were the biggest statues in the world. Damn, I hate Pakistan!

Al-Qaida is a radical group of islamic fundamentalists, which abuse Islam to achieve their terroristic goals. But what does it mean? Are all muslims fanatics? Are all muslims fundamentalists and terrorists? No.
There are over 1 billion muslims in the world spread over all 5 continents in the world. Some are liberal, some are radical. That's it. I'm also muslim but I ain't a fanatic.
