if you're asking a question or posting about an artist that's NOT from the bay, then please take it to the SICCNESS NETWORK board.... that's there for a reason, and it's barely being used.... I just visited the old Raptalk board from 2001 and seen 50 threads on the main BART board.... and i only seen 1 thread that didn't have to do with Bay rap.... lets keep this how it's supposed to be....

Agreed. People who want to talk about 50 Cent, Ja Rule and others like them could probably find plenty of mainstream rap-related webpages with message boards to discuss those artists. The fact that most of us here are into mainly Bay (and Northern/Central Cali) rap is what makes BART and pages like it what it is. X-Raided wasn't too far off when he said that the SICCNESS is getting too mainsteamish for his taste. PEACE!

What the fuck is this?

The Bay does not exist in a vacuum, and since the current events and tone of the rap world do not revolve around the Bay right now, it makes total sense that we should discuss everything from L.A. to New York. Not just becuase of the lack of activity in the bay, but becuase, frankly, New York and L.A. artists set the trends that we follow.


In addition, I can't even imagine having so much free time that I would actually be able to complain to the moderators about someone else's topic. If you're not interested in discussing something, then ignore it.

It's not that hard.


Anyway, to me, the purpose of this board is not only to discuss the day-to-day developments in Bay Area rap, but to discuss all events in the wider world of rap from a Bay Area perspective.

the reason most people post non-bay stuff in this forum is because there isn't anything good about the bay right now to post.....don't get me wrong,i love the bay,but the bay been slippin lately....

and that's why there's a SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA board on here. make use of it, you people complain about useless forums all the time on this muthafucka, well put em to use. And you can put up all your New York questions in the Siccness Network board.

But i'll let the L.A., San Diego, Sacramento, Central Valley, Las Vegas, Portland, and Seattle shit slide since people posted about em alot on the old board.

All I said was this: How can you expect us not to discuss things that happen in New York and L.A. when they impact the bay?


And the thing that makes this board worth visiting at all is the bay area perspective on the wider rap industry.


If you confine discussion to only Bay artists, you'll get like 1 post per day...

I TALK ABOUT WHOEVER & WHENEVER...

I WANT. I love the bay but to keep the board up we need to interact on aspects, regions, & artists in rap. If 50 CENT IS THE SH*T, THEN THAT'S WHO I'LL TALK ABOUT IT YA HEARD.:devious:

Explain. And I DON'T expect you to not discuss things that happen in NY and LA. Just bring it to the other board.

and if you want to see a Bay Area perspective of some New York artists, then it don't take but a couple of second to post it or read up on it on the Siccness Network board.

1 post a day? that's funny, i've only ran into 1 thread today that isn't related to west coast shit.

Well, see, when i post up something that aint to do with the bay, its becuz, i know everyone checks the BART board, so if i wanna an opinion, this is where ima post it. this is the most active forum of them all, so if i want people to see my posts ill post them here.

I don't really care that much, I'm not going get all bitchy about this^^, but that is my 2 cents.

And like I said, I like to get bay perspectives on shit. The siccness board isn't exactly like that.
