Ok so I guess, they are division 1, 2, 3,4 ect ? How do you tell what division is 1st? 2nd and 3rd?
Also, Highest Completion Percentage, Career, 66.0, Chad Pennington, 2000-Present
I stumbled onto that from wikipedia. He is doing well this season and as for Leftwich, when rofl burger gets injured he will get a chance. He was playing under Vick at Atlanta wasnt he?
Are you asking about the division break down for college football? Im not quite sure where that came from, but i was talking about the conference breakdown.
If a conference has 12 teams, they can then split it into two divisions, which then results in having a conference title game between the winners of the conference divisions at the end of the year. The SEC, ACC, Big 12, C-USA and MAC all have conference title games. The Pac-10, Big 10, MWC, Sun Belt, and WAC all have 11 teams or less and do not have title games.
As far as the whole college football picture goes, there are divisions, yes. Div. 1-A (also called FBS, Football Bowl Series) is the most known and is the top division in college football. There are 119 teams in the FBS, including Marshall.
From there, Div. 1-AA, which is now known as FCS (Football Championship Series). I do not know how many teams are in this, but they have a playoff every year as opposed to bowl games. If you cant make it to the FBS as a player, you end up here. From there, there is Div. II and Div. III, which is a bunch of small schools and sometimes JC (Junior Colleges).
As far as Pennington is concerned, his numbers may be decent, but he hasnt done shit as a QB in the NFL.
Marshall is Division 1-AA. It had two championships in 92 and 96. I think Division 1A is called the Bowl division and Division 1AA is called the Championship division, but those are just titles created by corporations to confuse foreigners like you into thinking that you're watching a legitimate football game. Luckily, you're on the siccness where we give you John McCain style straight talk..
Marshall is a FBS school. They got bumped up to FBS status in 1997. They used to be in the MAC, but went to C-USA two years ago.
