I'm debating if I want to sign up for a Paypal account. I'm always on Ebay and I always buy shit. I use my lady's Paypal but she always be gettin heated and telling me to make my own account. I haven't had many bad expierences just a couple. All I'm wondering is if It's super legit and hard for people to hack or try to get your info. I'm just not really comfortable with my CC #'s online. Speak on it.

I've been using it for a few years now and haven't had any problems, just the occasional scam email saying that I purchased something I didn't to try to make me give up my info.

This is just for Buying but on Personal it says that you cant get "Payments" from Debit cards or CC's. Does that also mean you can't get a refund from them also?

the few refunds ive ever had have gone into my paypal account. to withdraw money, i assume you need to pay them a percentage (ive never done so) but you can spend that money like cash on ebay. so basically you get your refund in 'store credit' where the store is anyone who accepts a paypal account, and its the full amopunt of the refund.

ive never been fucked over by paypal.

EDIT: i have whatever the most basic paypal account is.

I ALWAYS pay with paypal, that way you have a better chance of getting a refund if whatever you bought isnt as described, or doesnt work. On the other hand, if your selling something that you know DOESNT work, dont accept paypal as a paying method, or else paypal has the right to go into your account and take the money back.

I have transacted i would say around 10,000 dollars or more with paypal and have never had a problem. Other than a payment sent to me buy a customer. They sent a e-check which took a few days to clear. I always buy things with paypal too. Never had an issue with funds.

If someone has your credit card they can try using it but most companies will run address verification in order to make sure the goods are going to the right person and not a fraud. 9.9 out of 1o banks offer you some sort of fraud protection. By federal law you are only responsible for the first 50.00 of fraud on a credit card account.

Don't be such a pussy. Just sign up. You think millions of people using it are worried about their accounts like you.

Other than spam email and people sending emails that are masked and trying to phish your info from you you are safe. You should be able to spot fraudulent emails. They always ask for your personal info or shit that you would not normally give out online.

Good luck though playa!

Aight so I signed up for Paypal.I already usedit about 4-5 times but Why does it take so long for Payment to clear? I noticed I'm sending E-Check but on my Gf's it would just transfer or send the payment. Is there anyway I can change it to immediate payment?Sending a E-Check just makes the process longer and I have to wait like a extra 2-3 just for the items to ship.

^ U gotta get your account verified. Its been a while so i don't remember too clearly, but theres an option where u can do that. U have to enter your checking routing # i believe. Then they're gonna send u a random deposit to your account, like 33 cents. U then enter that amount in a verification thing on the paypal site, and then you're verified. After that you can do everything with paypal.
