Yeah looks like i have to go that route or pay...either way thats the state of hip hop and the world we live in I guess..What we here on corporate radio, the trends and the theme that everyone follows ironically is all paid for by corporations, we just follow along like sheep thinking what is on the radio is cool cuz its on the radio. Makes me wonder about these movements we have going on in hip hop.
Heres an exerpt from a long article on Clear Channel and Bush's contrlo of it:
"In many ways, Clear Channel has become the radio version of Fox News: You can find virtually nothing in its musical playlist or agenda that is not consistent with the Bush Cartel public relations agenda.
With increased deregulation, the mutual financial benefits that the Bush Cartel and the owners of Clear Channel have enjoyed will just be another representation of the growing cancer of corporate socialist cronyism, in which the crony media barons use their stations and papers to advance the political agenda of the Bush administration -- and contribute to Republican coffers. In turn, the Bush Cartel takes steps -- such as increased deregulation -- that enable increased profitability among the Bush Cartel media cronies."

This is disgusting..we out here being brainwashed and don't even know it. I have nothing against the hyphy movement and love what its doing for the bay, but I feel it is an example of Bush's plan to keep the lower class where they are, and going dumb is exactly what he wants us to do..Therefore artists with substance, originality and something to say are now being locked out of commercial radio..Artists such as 2pac, Nas, and others like Dead Prez that have a more democratic viewpoint are rarely heard on the radio nowadays while newcomers from the bay that aint hyphy and have a message are totally locked out of the game..the game is fucked up right now and kmel and other clear channel stations are losing a portions of its audience, the real niggaz..hip hop is dead
