i think oscar made the fight pressed the fight and mayweather ran all day. i never seen anyone disrupt mayweathers game plan like de la hoya did. mayweathers best punch the "left hook" was absent all night and no one ever did that to him. the most telling punch of the fight was oscars jab. mayweather had no answer for it. could'nt handle oscar on the ropes and basicly had single shots all night and did'nt want to mix it up with oscar.

Very true....
Although Oscar could've easily pulled away on points if he only threw his jab more. At the end of the day, Oscar needs to be criticised for not listenning to his corner. I mean it's his fault that the fight was close to begin with.

But on the flip side, Mayweather stayed away from De La Hoya and wasn't even looking to win.
He was a counter puncher for most of the fight and rarely stepped up to fight. When he talked as much as he did, he didn't even back it up.
And for a hungry challenger, he showed no heart.
I just don't see how you can win a fight like this when you're the supposed pound for pound best fighter in the world and you step up to fight the Jr. Middleweight champion and you do very little to win.
The champ has to defend his title and the challenger has to take it.
Mayweather didn't take anything from Oscar, he was "awarded" the decision....

Thank God he isn't a professional Judge, but besides him everybody scored it for Mayweather, Mayweather Sr.'s reasons as to why Oscar should of won was incoherent and made no sense, same as everyone in here who can't let it go. Maybe his beef with Mayweather Jr. had something to do with his wishful thinking.. The unofficial judge and official judges gave it to Floyd, all of the HBO analysts agreed and so does every other expert critique I hear or see on other websites which confirms the unanimity of consensus among experts and intermediates of who the obvious winner was(all of this not to mention simply looking at the punch stats yourself), there is no controversy. Only to those who are highly reactionary and emotional, but who gives a shit about them? They're just irrational, disgruntled consumers..

^De La Hoya doesn't deserve it and Floyd should retire, take his money and undefeated record, and leave this corrupted ass political sport imo.. Walk off into the sunset, I'll always hold him up there as the greatest of our time, despite the uninformed opinions of the sensitive boxing consumer who does not value the science and are fueled by emotion and blood..

If you saw the fight, then you know one of the judges saw it for DLH, hence a "split decision", ie,not "everybody".

It wasn't an embarassment and it wasn't his "ass handed to him". Neither boxer was even visibly hurt. The match was boring and relatively uneventful.

Like I said, everybody (not literally, as to play with words for no reason) as in the vast majority of expert opinion saw it for Floyd, as can be inferred from the decision. Also De La Hoya indeed got "his ass handed to him", look at the stats and then go back and look at the fight, Oscar's sluggish ass landed nothing and Floyd landed embarrassing punches at will. He treated Oscar like a frustrated brainless brawling amateur..

so when you say professional judge and then "everybody", then you literally don't mean everybody.

OK. I get it.

"Vast majority", which is 2 out of 3 means everybody. I guess we can "infer" that from now on.

I know you're fucking with everyone who went for DLH, but if you think he handed him his ass (in comparison to any other fight where there was a clear winner), then you are a dickrider, not just a happy fan.
