Basically I think the perfect example of a straight classic ALBUM would be Makaveli's Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory. Every song works together, when I listen to that album I feel like I'm listening in on Pac's mind from early 96 to his death. He has hard ass disses (Bomb First, Against All Odds), a few love/women songs (Toss It Up, Just Like Daddy), some introspective type of songs (Krazy, White Man'z World), a feel good song (To Live & Die In LA), one of the best metaphor songs ever (Me & My Girlfriend), and the rest left to whatever else he has to say. He hits you from every angle, it's not all hard ass mafioso shit...
And he speaks his mind. It's considered one of Pac's hardest releases ever, yet he admits to crying on the album. He SHOWED you his weaknesses, it wasn't all "I'm so hard, fuck yall, I'm the best, yall can't fuck with me"...I'm sick of every little 15 year old independent rapper talking about how hard they are. Shit's played out...
