White churches - often the music tends to be sort of more rock and roll / contemporary styled, often a band with instruments
Black churches - the music has a more gospel / R&B vibe, maybe a bass player, almost always an electric or acoustic piano
White churches - the message tends to be more structured and specific, white preachers are more reliant on programs and outlines, preacher tends to be more formal, like a lecture or a speech
Black churches - the message tends to be more freeform and is really on the whim of the preacher, preacher tends to be more emotional and animated
White churches - More likely to preach that certain specific things are right & wrong
Black churches - Tend to give off a more general idea that you should follow biblical principles and be a good person
White churches - Tend to have this vibe like "to be a Christian you must attend our church, our small groups, read the bible X amount, and pray often. Your family must be clean cut and you may only listen to Christian radio and watch the 700 club"
Black churches - Tend to have a sort of "Sunday is forgiveness day" vibe. What you do during the week is one thing, but you better show up, listen, and dress well on Sunday, and you'll be alright.
