Anyone that just comes to like a team because theyre good is a little bitch. Youre the same as all those gay yankees and red sox fans all around the country. Yes. You admitted yourself it was exposure to their program (and their style of play that you were able to observe w/ this exposure) that got you into it. With the exception of Notre Dame, the only thing that is able to overcome geography to achieve exposure is being good. Therefore by rooting for an out of area team you are by definition picking a team that is good. You're picking from the top 25% of the ladder and completely ignoring the bottom 75%.

W/ very few exceptions, attending a school or being geographically alligned are the only ways to legitimately seriously (I'm not talking casually, you've got their logo in your avatar, you talk on here like you're serious about it) follow a team. Now the casual route, that's a whole lot different, we all have squads we pull for casually (for me this year, it's South Florida).

As a general rule, you've got to go only on what you read on here, and nothing else, b/c I don't know you, you don't know me.
