PS- I am big on making shit up as I go along.
I took some cube steaks out this morning because I wanted to make chicken fried steak, but then didn't feel like frying nothing, so I put a little EVOO in a frying pan, added diced onions and minced garlic, lightly cooked em, and then put the steaks in there. Browned them, pulled them out of the pan and put em on a plate. Then I mixed a packet of brown gravy, some water and some beef bullion (sp?) in a measuring cup, and added it to the steal drippings and veggies. Let the gravy thicken for about 10 minutes, added a bit more water, and then put the steaks back in there. Covered it and let it simmer on super low for about 45 minutes, served it over some mashed potatos. Shit came out hella good.
I make 'concoctions' like that a lot.
