The more I think about the signing of Gregg, the more I like it.

Dude is clearly going to be a mentor for our 2 young NTs. Rex Ryan has said he was one of his favorite players while in Baltimore aswell. He is a teacher out there, an extended coach out on the field. Our entire DLine is young as hell besides him and you know they'll be soaking up game from this cat. I mean he did come from one of the baddest defenses in this era, thats gotta account for something.

If I remember correctly wasn't Gregg a big player for Balitmore in the Playoff game last year?

I'd have to look it up, but I swear I remember his named being called all the time in that game!

Yea Gregg ate us up! Im not disappointed in the Gregg signing. I guess I'd say Im a little disappointed in the lack of signings. Cool, we signed 15 undrafted rookies. Wheres the talented proven players?

I dont know what jersey to get. I got my Jamaal a few weeks ago. Now I need an away jersey. Im thinkin Berry or Flowers.
I haven't bought a Chiefs Jersey in a very long time. To me it's an obvious choice........BERRY all the way. He is exactly what I think of when it comes to Chiefs Football. Intense. Emotional. Hard Hitting. Plays every play 1000%

holy shit @ playing the patriots/steelers/jets/packers in a 5 week stretch. good luck with that, lol.

with that said, i don't know if the chiefs will necessarily have a better record in 2011 than they did in 2010, but i think they'll be a better team. i still think they have a pretty good chance at finishing the season as afc west champions...

i like the picks (baldwin/houston/bailey/hudson) the chiefs picked up in the first three rounds of the draft, i think they'll all contribute sooner or later.

obviously the chiefs aren't my favorite team, nor do i cheer for them, but i've enjoyed watching chiefs games...two of my favorite players right now are jamaal charles and eric berry...i've followed them since college (no marty), and it's cool to see them do pretty well in the nfl. they're both special players, but since the shelf life for running backs aren't very long in the nfl, i don't know how long charles will last in the nfl as a very effective tailback, since he's not a big guy (no marty). hopefully, he'll show durability and last longer than larry johnson and priest holmes. luckily for now, jamaal is sharing carries with another good running back in thomas jones. with berry, i'm almost sure that guy is gonna be an elite player very soon...probably within the next year or two, i know he has very high expectations for himself. he'll up there with ed reed, and troy polamalu. a player that can play both safety positions, and even cornerback, i see him as this generations' rod woodson. the chiefs will have a pretty good secondary for years to come with berry and the two brandons at cornerback.

Matt Cassel needs to step it up this year and start completing the tough throws if we gon make it further this year. He has more weapons at his disposal now and I'm waitin on him to hopefully prove me wrong in my belief that the Chiefs need a better QB.

Hopefully Jim Zorn can get him coached up. If he flops this year we gotta find someone else. Cant call him the "future" like they did with Brodie. We all seen how that turned out. I'll give Cassel one more shot. I think he'll be improved, but we'll see once we play a team thats worth a damn or a game that means something.

Yeah I think Jim Zorn should help out some and it doesn't benefit Cassel that he keeps gettin new OC's every year. I just dont want a stop gap QB anymore. What i really wanted when we traded for him was to draft Josh Freeman instead. I guess I'm bitter lol.

Chiefs signed OT Jared Gaither, formerly of the Ravens.
Gaither apparently couldn't pass a physical after agreeing to terms with the Raiders two weeks ago. The Chiefs are either more confident in Gaither's health, or simply want to roll the dice on a guy that has immense talent at the crucial left tackle position. Gaither didn't play a snap last season due to back issues.
