So, we're picking 7th. Matt Barrows reported that they're looking at that CB Prince N. Wouldn't mind him or Peterson from LSU. We definitely need a good CB.

Another area we definitely need to improve on is our pass rush. Lawson and Harylson aren't cutting it.

I haven't heard much about them using the 7th pick to get a QB, even though this years QB class is supposed to be the best of the past decade.

Man the 9ers need to pick up a QB next year. But those two DBs mentioned are studs too, fuck. Can't miss out on this upcoming QB class, because we totally missed out on '04s by a year.

One 49ers assistant who won't be retained is WRs coach Jerry Sullivan who's been coaching since 1970 and plans to retire.

Hope there is truth to this:

Update: A league source tells Profootballtalk.com that the 49ers may ultimately not hire Trent Baalke as GM, and instead opt to pair Michael Lombardi with Jim Harbaugh as general manager and head coach. "Lombardi and Harbaugh have a close relationship," the source said. "I think Lombardi is ending up there."

Fantasy Impact: Everyone knows Harbaugh is the guy the 49ers want, and hiring Lombardi might just help them get their man. This should be an interesting situation that unfolds. Stay tuned.
