An ad hominem yet he attacked me first. Typical white racist. A black male is attacked, he defends himself and now he's the bad guy. And I have already refuted the piglet

As for the defender of the Constitution, Micah X, he was fighting tyranny, like the good white founders of this country would want.

5 to.1. Refute that.
lol

For the record my BMI is 22.8 (not fat), and I'm Hispanic. If you're going to attack me do like everyone else and call me a rent-a-cop snitch or make fun of how poor i am (32k / yr income)

If you want to learn more read Thomas Sowell "Intellectuals and Race", and "Black Rednecks and White Liberals". He's the author iaoish @iaoish linked and it seems like he touches on a lot of the ideas I'm trying to convey, but since "I'm just a racist troll" who cares about my opinion right? I'm going to read both of these books soon

Everyone needs to start arming themselves with a deeper understanding of this issue and most importantly, don't buy into the media driven narrative which is complete deception and meant to divide us by race
A few of his books have been on my to-read list for a while. I'll get around to reading one of them eventually.

TL;DR A Black Police officer against Black Lives Matter. Worth the read.

Jay Stalien, Police Officer from Riviera Beach, Florida

I have come to realize something that is still hard for me to understand to this day. The following may be a shock to some coming from an African American, but the mere fact that it may be shocking to some is prima facie evidence of the sad state of affairs that we are in as Humans. I used to be so torn inside growing up. Here I am, a young African-American born and raised in Brooklyn, NY wanting to be a cop. I watched and lived through the crime that took place in the hood. My own black people killing others over nothing. Crack heads and heroin addicts lined the lobby of my building as I shuffled around them to make my way to our 1 bedroom apartment with 6 of us living inside. I used to be woken up in the middle of the night by the sound of gun fire, only to look outside and see that it was 2 African Americans shooting at each other.

It never sat right with me. I wanted to help my community and stop watching the blood of African Americans spilled on the street at the hands of a fellow black man. I became a cop because black lives in my community, along with ALL lives, mattered to me, and wanted to help stop the bloodshed.

As time went by in my law enforcement career, I quickly began to realize something. I remember the countless times I stood 2 inches from a young black man, around my age, laying on his back, gasping for air as blood filled his lungs. I remember them bleeding profusely with the unforgettable smell of deoxygenated dark red blood in the air, as it leaked from the bullet holes in his body on to the hot sidewalk on a summer day. I remember the countless family members who attacked me, spit on me, cursed me out, as I put up crime scene tape to cordon off the crime scene, yelling and screaming out of pain and anger at the sight of their loved ones taking their last breath. I never took it personally, I knew they were hurting. I remember the countless times I had to order new uniforms, because the ones I had on, were bloody from the blood of another black victim…of black on black crime. I remember the countless times I got back in my patrol car, distraught after having watched another black male die in front me, having to start my preliminary report something like this: Suspect- Black/ Male, Victim-Black /Male.

I remember the countless times I canvassed the area afterwards, and asked everyone “did you see who did it”, and the popular response from the very same family members was always, “Fuck the Police, I ain't no snitch, Im gonna take care of this myself". This happened every single time, every single homicide, black on black, and then my realization became clearer.

I woke up every morning, put my freshly pressed uniform on, shined my badge, functioned checked my weapon, kissed my wife and kid, and waited for my wife to say the same thing she always does before I leave, “Make sure you come back home to us”. I always replied, “I will”, but the truth was I was never sure if I would. I almost lost my life on this job, and every call, every stop, every moment that I had this uniform on, was another possibility for me to almost lose my life again. I was a target in the very community I swore to protect, the very community I wanted to help. As a matter of fact, they hated my very presence. They called me “Uncle Tom”, and “wanna be white boy”, and I couldn’t understand why. My own fellow black men and women attacking me, wishing for my death, wishing for the death of my family. I was so confused, so torn, I couldn’t understand why my own black people would turn against me, when every time they called …I was there. Every time someone died….I was there. Every time they were going through one of the worst moments in their lives…I was there. So why was I the enemy? I dove deep into that question…Why was I the enemy? Then my realization became clearer.

I spoke to members of the community and listened to some of the complaints as to why they hated cops. I then did research on the facts. I also presented facts to these members of the community, and listened to their complaints in response. This is what I learned:

Complaint: Police always targeting us, they always messing with the black man. Fact: A city where the majority of citizens are black (Baltimore for example) …will ALWAYS have a higher rate of black people getting arrested, it will ALWAYS have a higher rate of blacks getting stopped, and will ALWAYS have a higher rate of blacks getting killed, and the reason why is because a city with those characteristics will ALWAYS have a higher rate of blacks committing crime. The statistics will follow the same trend for Asians if you go to China, for Hispanics if you go to Puerto Rico, for whites if you go to Russia, and the list goes on. It’s called Demographics

Complaint: More black people get arrested than white boys. Fact: Black People commit a grossly disproportionate amount of crime. Data from the FBI shows that Nationwide, Blacks committed 5,173 homicides in 2014, whites committed 4,367. Chicago’s death toll is almost equal to that of both wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, combined. Chicago’s death toll from 2001–November, 26 2015 stands at 7,401. The combined total deaths during Operation Iraqi Freedom (2003-2015: 4,815) and Operation Enduring Freedom/Afghanistan (2001-2015: 3,506), total 8,321.

Complaint: Blacks are the only ones getting killed by police, or they are killed more. Fact: As of July 2016, the breakdown of the number of US Citizens killed by Police this year is, 238 White people killed, 123 Black people killed, 79 Hispanics, 69 other/or unknown race. Fact: Black people kill more other blacks than Police do, and there are only protest and outrage when a cop kills a black man. University of Toledo criminologist Dr. Richard R. Johnson examined the latest crime data from the FBI’s Supplementary Homicide Reports and Centers for Disease Control and found that an average of 4,472 black men were killed by other black men annually between Jan. 1, 2009, and Dec. 31, 2012. Professor Johnson’s research further concluded that 112 black men died from both justified and unjustified police-involved killings annually during this same period.

Complaint: Well we already doing a good job of killing ourselves, we don’t need the Police to do it. Besides they should know better.

The more I listened, the more I realized. The more I researched, the more I realized. I would ask questions, and would only get emotional responses & inferences based on no facts at all. The more killing I saw, the more tragedy, the more savagery, the more violence, the more loss of life of a black man at the hands of another black man….the more I realized. I haven’t slept well in the past few nights. Heartbreak weighs me down, rage flows through my veins, and tears fills my eyes. I watched my fellow officers assassinated on live television, and the images of them laying on the ground are seared into my brain forever. I couldn’t help but wonder if it had been me, a black man, a black cop, on TV, assassinated, laying on the ground dead,..would my friends and family still think black lives mattered? Would my life have mattered? Would they make t-shirts in remembrance of me? Would they go on tv and protest violence? Would they even make a Facebook post, or share a post in reference to my death? All of my realizations came to this conclusion. Black Lives do not matter to most black people. Only the lives that make the national news matter to them. Only the lives that are taken at the hands of cops or white people, matter. The other thousands of lives lost, the other black souls that I along with every cop, have seen taken at the hands of other blacks, do not matter. Their deaths are unnoticed, accepted as the “norm”, and swept underneath the rug by the very people who claim and post “black lives matter”. I realized that this country is full of ignorance, where an educated individual will watch the ratings-driven news media, and watch a couple YouTube video clips, and then come to the conclusion that they have all the knowledge they need to have in order to know what it feels like to have a bullet proof vest as part of your office equipment, “Stay Alive” as part of your daily to do list, and having insurance for your health insurance because of the high rate of death in your profession. They watch a couple videos and then they magically know in 2 minutes 35 seconds, how you are supposed to handle a violent encounter, which took you 6 months of Academy training, 2 – 3 months of field training, and countless years of blood, sweat, tears and broken bones experiencing violent encounters and fine tuning your execution of the Use of Force Continuum. I realized that there are even cops, COPS, duly sworn law enforcement officers, who are supposed to be decent investigators, who will publicly go on the media and call other white cops racist and KKK, based on a video clip that they watched thousands of miles away, which was filmed after the fact, based on a case where the details aren’t even known yet and the investigation hasn’t even begun. I realized that most in the African American community refuse to look at solving the bigger problem that I see and deal with every day, which is black on black crime taking hundreds of innocent black lives each year, and instead focus on the 9 questionable deaths of black men, where some were in the act of committing crimes. I realized that they value the life of a Sex Offender and Convicted Felon, [who was in the act of committing multiple felonies: felon in possession of a firearm-FELONY, brandishing and threatening a homeless man with a gun-Aggravated Assault in Florida: FELONY, who resisted officers who first tried to taze him, and WAS NOT RESTRAINED, who can be clearly seen in one of the videos raising his right shoulder, then shooting it down towards the right side of his body exactly where the firearm was located and recovered] more than the lives of the innocent cops who were assassinated in Dallas protecting the very people that hated them the most. I realized that they refuse to believe that most cops acknowledge that there are Bad cops who should have never been given a badge & gun, who are chicken shit and will shoot a cockroach if it crawls at them too fast, who never worked in the hood and may be intimidated. That most cops dread the thought of having to shoot someone, and never see the turmoil and mental anguish that a cop goes through after having to kill someone to save his own life. Instead they believe that we are all blood thirsty killers, because the media says so, even though the numbers prove otherwise. I realize that they truly feel as if the death of cops will help people realize the false narrative that Black Lives Matter, when all it will do is take their movement two steps backwards and label them domestic terrorist. I realized that some of these people, who say Black Lives Matter, are full of hate and racism. Hate for cops, because of the false narrative that more black people are targeted and killed. Racism against white people, for a tragedy that began 100’s of years ago, when most of the white people today weren’t even born yet. I realized that some in the African American community’s idea of “Justice” is the prosecution of ANY and EVERY cop or white man that kills or is believed to have killed a black man, no matter what the circumstances are. I realized the African American community refuses to look within to solve its major issues, and instead makes excuses and looks outside for solutions. I realized that a lot of people in the African American community lead with hate, instead of love. Division instead of Unity. Turmoil and rioting, instead of Peace. I realized that they have become the very entity that they claim they are fighting against.

I realized that the very reasons I became a cop, are the very reasons my own people hate me, and now in this toxic hateful racially charged political climate, I am now more likely to die,... and it is still hard for me to understand…. to this day.

Then what the fuck are you talking about? See people like you turn a blind eye to real shit. You post some shit about slavery, that wasn't in general, don't even know what the fuck the info contained, get called out on it, leave the convo and then come back to join the anti Heresy brigade lead by that sloppy fuck, butcher.

See, it really is some other shit with you people. You get called out twice now and now it's "oh I'm not talking about cops in general."

5 to 1.
Not really my fault that its been misunderstood what I said.

The very least we can learn from these talks and books is that we did not exhaust every option yet and there are a lot more angles to look at this problem then are being discussed here or anywhere else for that matter.

Here is a perfect example of an emotional, angry response when confronted with hard data. You cannot have discussion with someone who is acting irrationally and attacking with an emotional response, which is why that conversation degenerated so fast and why most of these conversations degenerate and people divide themselves by drawing a hardline, creating "us" vs "them". "You can't say black people are prone to criminality, THATS RACIST". This issue cannot be solved if people refuse to look at the cold hard truth. Black people ARE more prone to criminality and the data shows it and this has to be accepted. This does not equal ALL BLACKS ARE BAD or some stupid KKK racist agenda, it is simply the truth. It has to be part of the discussion and it can't be ignored or the discussion cannot go any further, and the problem cannot be solved.

Then you got the brilliant Cenk who uses this to attack conservatives as a whole and label anyone trying to solve this issue as a racist, then starts pushing his DISHONEST lib-tard agenda, bending the facts, using such brilliant methods as "no one talks about white on white crime when the percentages are similar"; while ignoring that the number of blacks killed by blacks is EIGHT TIMES higher than the number of whites on white crime. It's dishonest shoddy journalism and people have to become more educated and refuse to accept such ludicrous claims at first glance. It's dangerous, it's getting cops killed and creating a racial divide.

Cenk is such a retard and The Young Turks is a laughable source of information. It's this type of lib-tard journalism that's fueling this division in the first place. You have to ask what are they gaining from keeping people mad and ignorant? They're not offering any solutions, only trying to drive their ratings. Any solution is always laughable at best; the liberal will always give the ignorant just enough hope for change to fool you and keep A Group temporarily happy, but you will always be unable to advance as the Individual.

I am still trying to understand your bottom line butcher.
Do you believe that racism against blacks doesn't exist? Do you believe that they simply just commit more crime hence their neighborhoods always being policed? If this is what you believe-- do you think they commit more crime because they are genetically prone to do so?
I understand you don't support the killing of the officers. But do you really not see that whether they suffer by their own hands or not, they as a people in this country have been dealt a shitty hand from the get-go? I understand you don't want to blame white racists for the situation that blacks find themselves in as soon as they become self-aware at the age of 3, even while black preschoolers are disproportionately suspended from school (whatever the race of the principal may be), but can you really assume that if you grew up in the environment they have you wouldn't hold the same exact sentiments as they do or live the same kind of life with the same exact aspirations?

Are you excluded from the blue eyes vs brown eyes experiment in sociology?

If you continue to warn everyone not to buy into the agenda for a racial divide then you need to understand where these people are coming from or else you risk continuing the divide. You cannot so easily brush away the trauma and the consistently reinforced idea that one is a lesser human, as late as the 60s, and not expect it or its side effects to be passed down to their kin. I am talking people who had to sit on the back of the bus or drink from a crappy 'colored only' drinking fountain are still alive and still raising children. You think those people raised their kids, the adults you see today, from a privileged and self-empowered place? No mother fucker--they as a people are still paying for the prejudice that was imposed upon them. Houses in Detroit, where I am originally from, are still riddled with the neurotoxin lead paint. What do you expect?

Now, do I believe they are fault free? of course not. I believe humans in general never want to change themselves and they will forever justify their resignation from taking action as being because of 'others'. The poor blame the rich for instance. Is it a valid view? Yes. Does it excuse them from working to make it better? Fuck no. But do I sit here completely ignoring the facts that the wealth on this planet stays concentrated at the top? What am I the 1%? Of course I can understand the underlying forces at play here.

Before you respond, please don't waste my time by taking one statement I've made and respond with a 10 page report. I am not trying to win an argument here or discredit your own. I am asking you questions for the sake of clarification with the hopes of reaching a middle ground of some sorts. If you have already made your mind up just let me know so we can stop kidding ourselves acting like we are seekers of knowledge in search of facts to make the world a better place for all.
I am not even asking you to break my post down and respond line by line. I am asking you to present your argument about the points I've raised in a concise and complete couple of paragraphs so that I can understand what you think about them.

Jesus christ there's like 10 different things that need to be addressed here, this post is all over the place i mean there could be seriously at least 10 different threads just on separate topics you've touched on as if it's the same issue. Ill reply in depth when i get home from work and off this phone; thanks for joining the discussion.

My ultimate bottom line though is that the BLM and liberal media narrative that blacks are being targeted and killed for no reason is completely false, and that we need to appreciate and support our police.

Of course racism exists; since Obama took office I've only seen racism get worse, ESPECIALLY black on white racism. But accepting racism as an excuse for doing bad is defeatist and is pathetic, because there are still countless individuals that have escaped it and elevated themselves above it and are doing just fine. It's what makes this country strong. An individual needs to drop the crab-in-a-bucket mentality, and elevate themselves as an individual, and accepting racism as an excuse for doing bad is the opposite of that.

Yes I know for a fact they commit more crime, way more than everyone else by far; the data has been posted in this thread multiple times. Is it because they're genetically prone to do so? Fuck no; that's a mantra of white supremacist groups and it's simply not true. I can't give you the real reasons until I look into more in depth, but my basic understanding at this point points to anti-intellectualism and violent culture being deeply ingrained in the black community. It's a fact if you're in public schooling and you try to do good you're attacked for it. You're an 'uncle tom" you think you're better than everyone else etc. It's a fact that crime is glorified in rap music and in most forms of black entertainment in general. It's a fact if you know who shot someone or talk to the police, you're a snitch and you're outed in your community as a rat, and may even be killed for it yourself so cycles of violence continue unchecked.

I understand you don't support the killing of the officers. But do you really not see that whether they suffer by their own hands or not, they as a people in this country have been dealt a shitty hand from the get-go? I understand you don't want to blame white racists for the situation that blacks find themselves in as soon as they become self-aware at the age of 3, even while black preschoolers are disproportionately suspended from school (whatever the race of the principal may be),* but can you really assume that if you grew up in the environment they have you wouldn't hold the same exact sentiments as they do or live the same kind of life with the same exact aspirations?
Once again, accepting that you were dealt a bad hand is defeatist and un-American. It's so easy to accept that you're doing bad because it's someone elses fault, but that's the liberal agenda for you; they want you to accept this and they want to be the hero you vote for to come and save you, bring "Change" (lol) , when ultimately all they do is line their own pockets with the money meant to rebuild these communities and keep people from advancing as individuals.

Black pre-schoolers probably get suspended at higher rates because black parents as a whole are missing (that might just be a negative stereotype and I apologize if I'm wrong about that), or are just simply terrible at parenting.

I grew up in a bad environment myself, South Park, Seattle, raised by my Grandparents since age 3, 5ppl with a 50k/yr income plus my 3 cousins and aunt, and I never subscribed to this attitude or succumbed to the negativity, so no I don't have to assume I would hold the same sentiments; I have lived it (not saying this neighborhood is as bad as Detroit or a Baltimore project, but it wasn't perfect either) and I definitely do not hold those sentiments, because I've seen people with nothing make something of themselves through the toughest odds, and there are countless examples of the same in this country.

Are you excluded from the blue eyes vs brown eyes experiment in sociology?
I don't know what you're talking about but I have brown eyes... so ?

If you continue to warn everyone not to buy into the agenda for a racial divide then you need to understand where these people are coming from or else you risk continuing the divide. What do you expect?
I do understand where these people are coming from and I reject it fiercely. They're told by Liberals to blame all their problems on white america / the police, that white america / the police are the cause of their problems, that it has nothing to do with individual actions or protecting the criminal element within the communities, or refusing to learn a trade or get proper schooling and advance themselves as individuals. They're told to hate what makes America a great country, and now they're being told to fight it with murder and violence, and it's outrageous and defeatist and dangerous. Since you brought up the 60's, why not talk about how far we've come since then. Here we are protesting the death of criminals who were committing multiple felonies and resisting arrest, when in the 60's black men would disappear then be found beaten to a bloody pulp, with zero investigation. Protesters were met with german shepards, clubs, fire hoses, and THE NATIONAL FUCKING GUARD with full on machine guns, neighborhoods were burned to the ground and people were shot and killed (some neighborhoods still haven't been rebuilt, the liberal leaders simply promised change then lined their pockets with that money). Now I don't know how you want to take that information but I see it as things are much better than they ever were, yet being called worse than they ever have been before, and blown so out of proportion people are being murdered for it. It's such bullshit

Now, do I believe they are fault free? of course not. I believe humans in general never want to change themselves and they will forever justify their resignation from taking action as being because of 'others'. The poor blame the rich for instance. I agree. I also believe humans want the easy answer and that's what BLM and the liberal media is providing. They want someone to blame rather than to accept responsibility for themselves and to elevate themselves as individuals.

This was just a brief synopsis of some of the ideas floating around in my head, and of course I'm not claiming to be some kind of intellectual expert on this topic or claiming to have all the answers. I just ultimately want people to stop and think before they call for murdering police. Stop painting all police with a broad brush as evil, that is simply not true. I've dealt with hundreds of officers and the majority of them are good. Yes, there are some piece of shit cops just as there are pieces of shit humans in every profession. But this BLM narrative, this anti-cop narrative is complete and utter bullshit.

i read an interesting fact today..the us police shot almost twice as many white men than black men this year and last year..its the police vs the public, not "white cops" vs " black men"
How many of those whites were upstanding citizens who didn't do anything? The majority of them were probably violent criminals, likely even armed and attempting kill. Yes there are innocents too, police make mistakes. The difference is whites don't riot and loot and call for the murder of police. Just last month a young 19 year old white man actually was murdered by the police for no reason; unarmed. Did he get national media attention? Does anyone even know his name?

I want a body camera on every cop too, i want better police training too, i want piece of shit police who go too far to pay for their actions too, i want better civilian and police relations too, make no mistake

I don't believe that certain races, or rather people with certain genes, are more pre-disposed to violence. I think upbringing and community has more to do with it, ie Nurture, not Nature. I was definitely not implying Blacks are genetically pre-disposed to violence because of their Nature; rather it could have more to do with a toxic criminal element within the community, the toxic and false acceptance that "it's us vs them", that they are weaker, that they have to group together and fight an oppressor. That's what the police are saying, that's what the data is pointing towards. It's un-American and it's detrimental to the individual and is destructive, and it creates anger, and when people are angry and draw a line in the dirt, take their hard-line stances, nothing can be solved.

It's funny you brought up black pre-schoolers being more likely to be suspended than whites, and they touched upon violence being a catalyst for violent behavior, I actually just saw a study on this the other week. It's a popular stereotype I've seen from black friends and black comedians, heard it from athletes, heard it my whole life that black parents "will whoop your ass with a switch" if you act up, which is kind of odd to white folks. Maybe this has to do with the pre-schoolers doing worse / getting suspended? because it's been proven this leads to defiant and violent behavior and mental problems later on in life.

Ahh yes.. I've seen this Jane Eliot study and was even a part of something similar in my 9th grade humanities class. Our teacher, without our knowledge, began a similar lesson. It started off by telling students that us A.P. students were better than the "regular" students (Those taking the regular classes), we were gifted, we were smarter, we were going places and they weren't, and that we shouldn't hang out with them and they were only going to hold us back from getting into better colleges. It was quite funny because almost everyone bought into it, except for me and a couple of other kids. I actually sought out my friends in regular classes and hung out with them even more even though it was highly discouraged. She took me to the side and told me I was pretty much the only one that was defiant and didn't blindly accept her information as solid fact and change my behavior because of what she was teaching. Even after learning it was just a lesson a lot of the kids continued this pervasive disgusting behavior and eventually I decided to take community college classes instead.
