From what I read on THIS SITE...Obie was compensated for the use of his name...the use of his name was to draw attention and publicity. People see "OBIE TRICE" and there's going to be a lot more attention than if they see "MESSY MARV"...simply because of his (Obie) status.

It's like people making songs title... "Kill You" feat. Brotha Lynch Hung...most likely, they paid for a verse...doesn't mean they really were in the studio working with him. Nothing wrong with this...but it's an example.

If Obie really didn't kno about tha diss and some interviewer randomly asked him about it, don't U think he would wanna kno more about it instead of shruggin it off and laughing (as U can see tha interview suggests Obie was "laughing") I bet he knows exactly wats goin on but doesn't wanna bring attention to it cuzz he knows he fuced up....

it fuckin amazes me! some people just wanna talk shit and act hard or whatever on here. some people don't give a fuck cuz obie wasn't talking about their city. i could almost guarentee u that obie knows who the fuck messy marv is and chances are that he heard about the diss before that interview. what the fuck do u expect obie to do?? he's on a higher level then mess cuz of eminem (not that whiteboy: race doesn't need to come into everything).

nobody likes when someone talks shit about your city so put yourself in messy's position or anyone from here. who gives a fuck if he dissed em, nobody around here gets respect so why not voice out about it. get your facts straight! aint no dickriding over here, i didn't like what obie said about s.f. either.
