I want this to be a serious discussion, there are plenty of threads to talk shit about the Raiders, but this isn't one of them.

So apparently Art Shell isn't sure who he's going to start next week, Andrew Walter or Aaron Brooks. Personally, I don't think the QB situation is as big a deal as the horrible offensive line & the even worse play calling. Who would you rather have start? and do you think the QB's are to blame?

if the raiders are keeping walters on as a long term quarterback he needs playing time, this season is already a loss so we should follow in the niners footsteps and get him some playing time and nfl experience, also brooks isnt any good and tui sucks too

I agree.....although I actually like Aaron Brooks, but if Andrew Walter is going to be the qb of the future there should be no question there. I wanted Tui in for every game of last year, but thats only cuz I hated Kerry Collins

I wouldn't put the blame on the o-line this game. THey gave Walter time, but he either held on to it too long or threw it 20 feet over the recievers head. Walter is not mobile, doesn't have any awareness and shaky when it comes to accuracy. He will develop these skills in time, but the problems start with Walsh...He should be givin the boot.

^but this is the first game that the o-line didn't fall apart (that much).....and personally, I think that robert gallery NOT being in the game had alot to do with it.....but walsh should definetly be fired YESTERDAY!!!!!

^they definetly need to keep rob ryan at all costs, but I don't know about making him head coach.....and I know for a fact offensive minded al davis would never put a defensive coordinator at head coach.

If we don't someone else will. The job he's done with or young defense is remarkable. Why couldn't he light a fire under the offense and get them motivated? But, your right Al Davis probably wouldn't do that.

it all depends on the short term or long term situation, as said before. do the raiders wanna win a few games? Start Brooks (given he works in practice). Think Walter is the future? Play him. because at this point, theyre about the same. My vote goes to Aaron brooks. give him another shot.

I think that since they've already lost, keep Walters in and give him the experience. Give Walters about 2 more years and he'll be a bomb ass qb

I say put Brooks in. I don't think Walters has it. He has no mobility and no pocket awareness. The o-line gave him time yesterday. He overthrew receivers or under threw them (Randall Williams made some good catches on poorly thrown balls) When teams blitz Walter he falls apart. I am not even sure if Walter is going to be good in the future. He's just not that good.

We had a 13-0 lead yesterday and a chance to win at the end. Walter should have come through. Denver didn't even blitz that much and Walter had time. Plus he missed a wide open Randy Moss in the end zone.
