why just them two cities? don't seem like it'd be too much of a NW movement if it's just two cities representing NW?

I'm pretty sure that was in the works a few years back and I assume it got scrapped. I think the name of it was Northern Lights and Jus Family had something to do with it. Hopefully Cool Nutz can come fill us in on what happened to that album.

From a personal standpoint (I am from Eugene, OR), I agree, but honestly the biggest names out of NW hip-hop are in Portland and Seattle. But if you TRULY wanted to represent the NW movement you would encompass the NW as a whole.

Most of the biggest names, but there aint that many to fill up a whole compilation. and Certified is from Spokane, and Acruturus (Mad Ro) does huge shit as well but he doesnt really get recognized much in the NW from what ive seen.

... and that has to do with his business practices. I wont speak on Arcturus because he's not on here to stand in his own defense but he gets the recognition he deserves.

This is a good idea, MurderDog kind of specializes in the underground stuff, so they'd be more down for this idea more than a major obviously. They did regional compilations for Kansas City and South Carolina, two fairly slept on places so maybe they would do one for the NW.

And again any argument on how much of it is Seattle, how much is Portland, how much is somewhere else out there is dumb. Put the 40 best tracks period, fuck where they're from in the region.

i always wanted to do one, if i could get enough artists from oregon and wash to submit new tracks id press it up...
You are the perfect man for the job. TRMNDUS never puts his name behind wack shit, you know it's going to be solid if it's one of his comps.

If you did one I'd buy about 10 copies off you.

This would be a dope idea to release one or 2 of these sometime this summer, once the summer comes and some hot albums are droppin im sure they'd give a track to go on the southwest bound comp
