Maybe it's the rappers fault........have you ever thought of that? Maybe they do radio versions and/or maybe they didn't give it to KMEL or other radio stations. That might be the reason. Theres a lot of rappers that I would like to hear on the radio, but I know i won't because I know they don't make radio versions of their songs.
^ LOL! I feel hella bad for Von because he gets it the worst. Him and his dj's put alot thier jobs on the line to start playing bay records (i say that because they had to fight to get some freedom and if it didn't work, you better believe they'd be replaced) and all anyone on here seems to talk about is how they hate on this person or that record. It's a alot of records that don't get palyed for various reasons. KMEL showed Ya' Boy love whether anyone wants to admit it- when his album came out they played hella album cuts and thats what made me go BUY it.

Yeah indie's sometimes get the shit end of the stick, but it works itself out eventually. Obviously Game didnt need KMEL support and hopefully we will be able to say that about a lot of people, because if your baseing everything on one station, the bay is fucked in general. What we should be bitching about is why LA wont jump on some these records that have been doing well up here, but hopefully the 40 record will change all that

i'd say 95% of shit on the radio is regulated by clear channel and the major record labels. and the other 5% (more likley less) is the freedom given to the dj's to play what they think is hot.

I'm not really in the "music" industry, but it seems to me that all of this entertainment shit is based on relationships. How niggaz interact with each other behind the airwaves might and should have some influence in who gets played and how much. I know that if I had a negative experience with a rapper, I'm not fucking with him. Period. That may be the case with some of these rappers. I wouldn't call the nigga von a hater unless you sat and chopped with the nigga. Then get on here and say what he is about.
