I think the individual is mostly to blame for his actions, however American society has a part to play in this as well.

-You can buy guns over the counter
-'He' was able to buy a gun
-People tease other people and this adds to mental problems
-Signs were there but nothing was done about it

And by the way, 140 just died in Iraq.

Alright folkies, I've been trying not to pay attention to the media coverage of this (see my post about the media in the G.O.M. Forum), but I'll give you my quick take on it anyway.

This act is an expression of envy at it's highest form (the most potent emotion) and he's a classic example how most serial killers/rampage killers think. He lived a disassociated life, he was on the fringes, he had no control over those things he wanted control over, and he had a serious inferiority complex. Yeah, no power, no money, no respect, and no hoes (a lot of shit like this comes down to whether or not you have access to bitches), so what does he do? Releases his hate towards those he envies the most. All of the people around him that are doing the things he wants/wanted to do.

My rudimentary break down.

OH, What A Job This Is!

Everytime something like this happens, the one thing the media and most people do is CONTINUE to classify these people as loners and weirdos, (which they may be), but continuing to call them that wont help us understand them or whatever people try to do in this situation.

As Marilyn Manson was asked about what he would say to the Columbine shooters, he said he would say "nothing, I would listen."

Envy is no more potent than spite or inferiority. His killings were not related to any person, so there's no way in telling whether or not he actually wanted to kill "the rich kids" unless he screamed on them like Plebold and the other kid did. He only made the tapes and used steereotypes as a cop out aimed at the people that are just as sick as he was.

i know, i seen this bitch on the news that went to v. tech and she's like "yea he was a loner" like wow, that's one of the reasons he did this and u still gonna talk about him about this. like no other troubled kids arent watching across america, plotting another shooting cuz there tired of being a "loner" also
