I think FAB's major label album has a chance to do very well.. depends on where he wants to go with it, but he's talented whether he's playing up the hyphy shit or the more lyrical shit.

Without that, though... I don't see a leading figure that's going to lead the Bay into the national spotlight. E40 is that person right now, but his hit singles didn't translate into record sales the way they should have.

I dunno, i think alot depends on how much promo Atlantic decides to put into Fab and how good the album is

There ain't enough Bay area rappers on major labels so it probably wont be much different

Todays music industry is 15 mins of fame then its something new. Artists are expected to keep dropping albums every 2 months or so. Music is in a terrible state right now. Here everybody sounds the same. Dont nobody do anything different other than Zion I and a few cats. Shit is mad stale. Dont nobody really take this area serious. Shits too goofy. Gimmick rap dont go far. That ghostbuster shit that Mista FAB is doing will be laughed the fuck out the door.

I think the Bay gone shine even harder in '07. The hyphy thang was cool but I think you'll start seeing less & less of it come '07. Look out for Smoke in '07 too mayne. I got at least two droppin in '07, SMOKE ROOM RECORDS IS IN THE BUILDING!!!!
