Northern Cali Rap in 2007

Does anyone feel that the ground work was put down in 06, and now in 07 is when we start to build that buzz? Doesn't FAB/Carson/Ya Boy ect albums have a better chance at selling more units because of the work done in 06? They are all on bigger labels but that woudn't have happend without the "hyphy movement" in 06...it's not just the movement...they have talent...but without that movment in 06 that attention would have not been around...so I just see things getting bigger and better in 07....

The thread was about norhtern Cali but I just hear people depending on the Bay. IMO young niggaz like T-Nutty & Young Bop are the future of N.Cali. No disrespect but Ya Boy, Clyde Carson & Mista FAB would get ripped by Nutty & Bop. Them Nuttfactor niggaz iz who I'm counting on az far az the new generation.

T-nutty and young bop the future lol, Thats not what the industry wonts. I like there music but its not fit for mainstream. Clyde carson,Ya boy,and fab there styles are more mainstream hip-hop. Those three cats been doing mainstream hiphop since I ever heard of them. I think Fab can do real real good if he doesn't do to much hyphy. Fab music is good when its not hyphy and shity when its hyphy. I hope he do his whole album without hyphy. That shit would be a classic

The hyphy sound iz oversatturatted in the Bay & doesn't even get much respect let alone airplay outside of Northern Cali. Clyde, FAB & Ya Boy do have a mainstream sound but that aint even a good thing IMO. Just look @ the music comin from these mainstream niggaz now. I say again I'm countin on the Nuttfactorz 2 make shit crack. They may not have a mainstream sound but them niggaz got way more heat then any of the niggaz namez from the new generation of MC's I'm reading on thiz thread.

Who the fuck are the nuttfactor? If most people havent heard of them and dont have a major label deal, they def arent making shit crack in 07. And saying having a mainstream sound aint even a good thing....
