i grew my hair out in like the 10th grade... lol i only got around to gettin it braided a couple times, the rest of the time awwww man.
i would have my shit just picked out, shit looked terrible my fro didnt have no shape at all just looked like damn buckwheat. other days i would just grease my shit up and sport some form of a whack ass gheri curl lookin like a sorry ass puerto rican or some shit... god i dont kno what the fuck i was thinking haha

Grown mine since 95... had the fro, curl, conrows, singles, twists, perm, pressed out... cut it bald in 97 an rocked a fade for the summer...
Once that fall hit, I grew it out and been had braids ever since...
Damn it's been 10 yrs already.... I've had the occasional trim to keep it for getting tooooo long, but I lately, I been wantin' chop it all the way off!
It's just that feeling when you look in the mirror right after you do it - tha't's wut's holding me back...

Last thing: when I had my fade - I was living in Hayward and my roomate was one of Oakland's best barbers... As a result of my letting him shave my head, he guaranteed he'd hook me up with the cleanest fades in the East Bay - on a weekly basis...

I JUST CHOPPED MINES TOO. 2 YEARS AND MY HAIR WENT DOWN TO MY CHEST. FOR ME, I GOT TIRED OF NOT HAVING A CONSISTENT BRAIDER. THE TWO FRENCH BRAIDS GOT OLD QUICK. SO THAT REDUCED ME TO HAVING THE PONY TAIL. THE ONLY THING THAT KEPT ME FROM CUTTING WAY BEFORE THAT WAS BECAUSE MY SHIT WAS LONG AND CURLY, AND FEMALES LOVED LOVED THAT SHIT. NOW I MISS IT.
Shit I grew out my hair for 9 months. I had it braided every other week, but one day I just got sick of shampooing my hair and tired of my hair being everywhere. So I just chopped it off and got lined up yesterday. Im clean cut now and I do sort of miss it. But going through the process of growing your hair out sucks. I would never slick my hair back....all thsoe fuckin chemicals in my hair makes me feel uhh dirty.
