How are we on another level? We're just DIFFERENT. NY is the birthplace of rap music. They focus on lyricists. The Bay and the South lack real lyricists. That is why they don't really fuck with Southern and Westcoast rappers. Ask an NY cat who they like from the West, and they'll probably say Yuk, Ras Kass, maybe even Jacka.

look majority of NY ain't fuckin wit us, its more so about they pride factor and they bitter that the place that gave birth to hiphop ain't been on top of the game for the past 5 years...they bitter and my opinion for the most part close minded. But think about it this way, we are as proud of our e40, fab shit as they are with they jay. wu tang, dipset shitz... let them hate it or love it, thats one reason why we also need artists like yuk/ jacka/ ridah / quinn to show them we ain't all up on what they refer to as "ignorant ass" shit.

NY places too much importance on Lyrics. There are many lyricist that couldn't make a hit record if their life depended on it.
