Since you did ask my opinion, I'll give it to you honestly.
I honestly was not feeling this issue very much. Off top don't stop reading this thinking oh he's just hating cuz he don't work with them anymore, NOT TRUE. I gave the last issue much props, and that was right after I quit, when the most friction was going on. I thought that issue looked really good, and I gave it props even during that time. People might say oh you're still hatin just cuz your shit aint in there, NO, I got 2 ads in this issue.
Reasons why I wasn't feelin it, **I didn't like the layout very much, just didn't look like it stepped up, each issue had always been a progression, this one didn't seem that way to me. **I think there was lack of balance in the articles written, not very much commercial representation. Don't get me wrong, everybody knows I ride HARD for the West Coast and for the Bay, but when youre doing something like a magazine, you have to balance it out so everybody can be satisfied, not just feed them everything you want them to see. **Lack of major advertising. What happened?, just when it seemed like the majors were taking a big interest in the magazine and placing ads and networking, there is NO major advertising AT ALL in this issue, whether it be for music, clothes, movies, whatever. That to me looks like a step back, or a step down. **I think after the way Richmond got done in the last issue, 2 pages was not enough to get them back, and you still left A LOT of people out on that. And I totally agree with where Kontac is coming from, he did a lot to make that happen and appreciation has to be shown. ** I think yall kinda over did the San Diego thing, I got much love for Dago, don't get me wrong, I fucks with the 619 hard, but 11 pages??? and the other City 2 City was only 2 pages?? damn kinda lopsided.
For as long as it took to come out, it didn't live up to it's standards and where it was climbing to. Once again, just my opinion, honestly, if people wanna get mad, whatever. I aint a hater, that's just feedback.
