dam i thought i heard new metallica on the radio yesterday, it was this. this is the first time i have been excited for new metallica since i was like 14.

It's a nice surprise. I think it's actually a decent song, but the transitions seem a little forced at times and the solo (unfortunately) is kind of odd. I'm definitely excited to hear the rest of the album.

This cd is absolute fire. If you like old Metallica. Like And Justice For All and Master of Puppets. This is an album of that era, but in 2008.

Guitar harmonies, bad ass solos, hard ass riffs. CHECK!

I'm gonna buy it. It's fucking worth it.

Ya I was a huge Metallica fan as a kid, but over the last 15 years they have put out garbage. This shit is pretty damn good. Actually sounds like a Thrash album....

From that Rip of the album: I've only listened to the first song and I'm wishing they would have mixed the song differently. Lars was doing some good shit and the drums seemed mixed low as did Kirk Hammett's guitar........

I'm about half-way through the album and Kirk's solos are fucking weird on a few of the tracks. I think he got too deep into weird scales and complex solos that sounded weird.....

EDIT: He's become even tighter with the fucking Wah peddle. Listen to the wah solo towards the end of Judas Kiss....He murders it something serious.....
