Coming out today :) Im about to buy one, I hope there will be a matte screen option, rumors are that they going with glossy only on this one, and that would be a no go for me.

^ Well if you use it outdoors , or there is light in the room, it causes alot of glare..

I'm real tempted on gettng the new Mac Book Pro....I dunno if I should wait cause i dont really need it now and Apple has another event in January, watch em end up announcing a 17 inch MBP thats better...

The colors will be different on a glossy too because its just reflecting so much in combination wit that it can be real different.

I was wondering what is going on with the 17" ... i havent seen one, really they wait till january?

In the Q&A right now someone asked whats up with the 17 inch and they said its being refreshed today, but I think that just means theyre upgrading the current model. I guess we will see when the Apple store is back up...

Still grabbin one Kadafi? Im real tempted....now that I think about it, since they upgraded the 17 inch today too, I doubt theyll be coming out with a new one soon. Some guy on another site believes they might just phase out the 17"

i want the macbook air. i never realized how much of a difference 1" on a screen and 2 lbs makes when you are luggin a laptop around until i went from my old sony to this hp.

^ If you really just use something simple you should get a netbook.... I was looking at this Dell Mini 9 and its perfect for web surfing and basic stuff like documents etc... 9 inch screen and cheap. plus it has an ethernet port which the mac book air is missing
