i think he's referring to the fact that (real) hip hop is nearly non-existant in the mainstream...& he's rite, just look at the garbage coming out these days. he's not at all sayin "hip hop is dead, go on & listen to this other shit, its better," or disrespectin those still puttin it down for hip hop. he's sayin we need to bring it back.

i could care less tho either way, i don't listen ta nas.

wow, giving it up past the year 2000? people have been saying hip hop is dead since the golden era ended around 97-98.....I think its a big attempt to get back to his original fan base, the way he's been trying to since he dropped stillmatic

i thought illmatic was his best album followed up by i am... but with thisalbum he could gain more fans it'll probably be hotter then his last previous albums

Yeah I like that title. I've been saying hip hop is dead for a looooong time now.

Think about how far rap has come now a days: If any song from Illmatic was put out on the radio, it would receive NO PLAY whatsoever in 2006. Unless Lil' Jon did the beat. And Nas changed his flow.
