@maculentways...i definitely feel u on that. i quit for a long ass time...then would come back...then would quit again. first, i couldnt find anybody tht was serious. second, it was hard to find anybody who took me seriously...i guess i dont look like the 'typical female rapper' who spits like i do & about the things i do.

Also, there are Crips in Pitt? What has the world come to?

And why does Kirby Locc have "LA" all over his page if he is from Pitt?

Good (and very valid) questions...I have a new job now, but I do still teach as part of it. I don't feel like I'm contradicting myself b/c I teach computer classes. I don't teach or preach my personal views and opinions. Plus, I teach adults. I think it might be a little different if I taught kids (I don't really like other peoples' kids anyway! lol). The other thing is that people don't understand that I have more than one side. I can adapt. I can go to work, be professional, go to school, do the mommy thing, but still hang out with the same people I been hangin out with my whole life. So even though I work a 9-5 (well 8-5 actually & that's bullshit lol) and I'm a few months away from getting my doctorate, I've always had one foot in the streets. I think you have to be able to be versatile. I kick it and do what I do, but at the same time, I have to do what I have to do to make sure my (and my kids') future is gonna be secure. Of course I don't actually kill people (I went to jail once & found out that it's cold as hell in there & I really wanted my chapstick). But I do talk about things I have actually experienced (or someone close to me has), whether it be last week or 10 years ago.

Yeah, there are Crips in Pittsburgh...they're eveeeryyyywheeere. lol They're not bangin like Cali. Nowadays, it's more just a representation of neighborhoods.

The reason Kirby has LA's all over his page is b/c he (we) are from Lincoln Ave. So out here LA either means someone is from Lincoln Ave, Larimer Ave, or North Lang Ave. It just depends on the color of the LA.
