depends on what type of bar guy you are...
the big spots around st louis are the landing, soulard, loop, and westport
the downtown landing bars:
club buca is a loud dance club with lots of drunk sluts that dance on the bar.... decent prices
morgan street is a brewery which has quieter inside with pool and all that good stuff.... as well as an outdoor part and another inside part where there is a dance club... one of my favs from the landing. standard fare is usually a 24 oz bottle of beer for like $5.50 there
sundeckers is a real chill sorta small bar with a patio ... open an hour later then the rest (2-3am) so we usually try to end there
big bang is a piano bar where there are alot of older sluts and bachelorette parties to poach on... quite expensive tho
tequila wild looks liek a shady ghetto bar so i havent ever touched it
the westport (page and 270 area) bars are:
americas pub... you have one in KC i believe so you should know what to expect... cheap drinks and sluts
trainwreck saloon... decent place with sectioned off dance floor and whatnot... moderate priced drinks but i have only been twice

yea college night is crazy.... you ever go to trailhead right down the street?? They brew their own beers and have crazy shit like raspberry beer and shit like that.

It definitely is..... The people there weren't too fond of a white boy wearing a royals hat, ( I think the royals were doing good that year or something ) but I didn't get shanked in the parking lot
I talked to my partner up there and he said he will be in the booth at patricks on fri and sat. Don't know if thats 100% but most likely. He said saturday night is usually better than friday but if you venture over to patricks and you see a fat white boy wearing glasses & a bandana spinnin records in the dj booth, walk up and call him mitchell bade. He'll know whats up, I'm sure you can get a few shot-outs to whoever the fuck you want announced over the loudspeakers. Might even be able to get some tech n9ne played up in the bar, but I don't remember If I gave him any of tech's music or not, but I bet he will play it if you request it. hahaha

Its a little late Nick but nextime.....Bar St Louis....The Trainwreck.....Morgan Street Brewery....Bananna Joe's......The Oz used to close @ like 6 AM....not sure now. Just start @ Laclede's Landing then make your way to the Oz. DOnt forget to try some of Show Me's famous wings....best wings u will ever eat, its a knock off of Hooter's....sports bar....chicks wearing next to nothing etc.
Well you son da bitches.........I'm back from the wonderful town of St Louis, which I never really went to. Spent most of the time in St. Peter and St. Chuck.
Friday night we get in at around 11:30 and we're staying at the Drury Inn right off I-70 in St. Peter. We get to the exit and they have a sobriety checkpoint RIGHT off the exit. So we quickly put all of our beer bottles and shit into the cooler that we brought along and throw our bags on top of it. I start swigging half a bottle of Cherry Sobe and get up to the checkpoint.
Cop: "Hey fellas, where you coming from tonight?"
Me: "Kansas City"
Cop: "Kansas City? What were you doing in Kansas City"
Me: (speechless with a confused look)
Friend: Uh, we live there
Cop: "Oh, what are you doing here?"
Me: "We have a golf tournament tomorrow and we're staying right there at the Drury"
Cop: "Ok that sounds nice....you fellas been drinkin?"
Me: "No, Sir"
Cop: "Alright, you enjoy your stay here and be safe"
Me: "Thank you"
That really put a damper on the start of the weekend, we planned on finding a local bar and just have a few drinks but that shit kinda killed it.....so we finished the case we had and went to bed around 3am.
Oh, and I was watching a local access station at the hotel and I see this fucking awful video on the St. Charles local access. The rapper was "St. Chuck", I forget the name of the song, but the video was filmed in a bar. The guy was fucking horrible....worst rapper ever to make a unkut style video.
Saturday we head back out west for the golf tournament. Shit was real sweet, it rained a few minutes before we teed off but then stopped and got hot as fuck. I tee off on 10 and i aim a little left into the trees because of my natural fade. I go off and hammer one straight into the woods. FUCK. Every drive at the range right before that leaked right.....not that one. So we didnt play my ball on that hole basiclly because I never found it. Luckly I won a door prize for a pack of 18 balls.
We are just cruising along...4 man scramble...we're up 3 or 4 over par after 5 holes.......shit was gross. 2 putting every green....horrible approach shots. Well we get to the 16th.....longest drive hole. My friend goes first....hauls off and wacks one dead center down the fairway.....250 yards fucking nice position. So now I can get loose and not worry about making a good shot. So I John Daily this one...put everything into it. Man I hammered this drive. I'm thinking.......oh I got the longest drive for sure here. We get up to the ball which was over a ridge in the fairway, and I see the fucking longest drive marker just about 10 yards infront of it. Drive of my life and some prick hits one 10 yards further. I figured the distance and it looked to be about 310....man I was so happy. Until we ended up hitting 4 skinny irons to the green on the 2nd shot and didnt stick a single one on. Ended up saving par with a 1 putt.
The very next hole it starts raining again....so we wait in the carts for the rain delay...it slows down for a little bit so we tee off. My friend wacks one long and straight. Fucking beautiful.....we are rollin now. *MERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR* air horn goes off......lightning in the area....head to the club house. We drive up to the green on this short par 4 and here is our friends ball sitting pin high at about 10 feet from the pin.........WTF!!!!! Even if we 2 putt this hole we have our first birdie. We never had a chance. The rain came back and soaked the course. We ate dinner and drank some more beer and went back to the hotel to go swimming and prepare for the Tyson fight.
We went up to Amerisports for the fight. We fucked around a little, so we got there kinda late, right after the Ali fight. Place is packed, standing room only and they close the doors 10 mins after we get there. And I dont even have to tell you about the fight. Except for the fact that I knew something stupid was going to happen and we all were going to pool together 100 bucks and put it on my fellow Irishman. 9-1 would have been nice and we would have tried to dump it all back at the 3-6 table later. We pussed out and put our faith in Mike. Way to let the world down you stupid pussy.
Enough about that....we got a lot of word that the hot place that night was The Trainwreck and the whole Westport area is great. So we go....I finally find the place. What a neat area, but I didn't expect it to be a big pedestrian area like that. We get there and have a couple of shots and drinks. I slow down because I have to drive and I was pretty warry of the Sobriety checkpoint the night before. It was pretty cool. I liked the atmosphere, nice looking girls....too bad none of them fell for the "im from out of town and looking for a good time" line. But it was cool, live band....they played Nelly's "Ride Wit Me". That was exciting for us and the rest of the white kids in the building. Nelly, pride of St Louis...so funny. Anyway, these guys go, "we've got a couple of more songs and we're out of here, so last call, get your drinks and tab out". WTF????? We just got here an hour ago. What time is it?

Ok....here in Kansas City we don't start thinking about going out to the bars until 11pm no earlier, unless there is some sweet early special. That gives 4 hours of drinking and what not. So this 1pm bar shit has to go. We get crazy, start yelling FUCK ST LOUIS!!! FUCK THE RAMS FUCK THE CARDINALS FUCK THE BLUES!!!!! Some people didnt take offense to it....others did....situation was defused and cooler heads prevailed. Then we here that the real spot is OZ on the east side. But I'm not into driving all the way over there and all the way back to St Peter with 2 drunk friends at the break of dawn. So we head back to Ameristar to drink. After waiting in line for 30 mins for a new card, because they don't take Ameristar Kansas City cards, we get in to have 2 drinks and walk around. Took some time in the poker room and I watched a No Limit table with the blinds at 1/2. This game was sick and I wish I hadn't spent all my cash that night because I really wanted to serve this one guy who was over betting 80% of the pots and getting stupid. But I wasn't about to goto the ATM for more money so I said fuck it and we decided to get some food at the Falcon Diner and head back to the telly.
We get back on the road and we're about 2 miles from our Exit for the hotel and I see 2 cop cars behind me with their lights on.......FUCK ME!!!!!!!! I start freaking out. Granted I only had about 4 drinks and a shot from 9:30 til 3:30, but still.....
So I start to slow down and get over to the right side of the 5 lane highway......I get over one lane and here comes this white mustang flying by me on the right side just as I was getting over. I didnt see this guy coming at all....maybe because he was going at least 100 mph. So I continue to get over and here comes the fleet of cop cars.....1...2....3....4....5...6 cars....holy shit....7....8....9....FUCK!!!
The guy gets off on our exit and there are 2 more cars there to meet him....but they fuck it up and he gets past them.....We were going to try and follow, but I'm guessing he continued to get loose on the streets and they were long gone by the time we got to the exit. What a close to an exciting weekend.
I think we'll be back next year for that tournament again...I don't know how it could get any crazier.

i hate those fucksticks... all they fuckin play is nelly over and over again along with like two other songs. What course you play at?? I worked at a country club out here for 10 years so i know most of the courses in st louis. Westport is coo... but like you said you gotta be out at 1 which is when we mob downtown to the landing where the bars are open till either 2 or 3 depending on what bar. Then if you are in a real drinkin mood you can go to Pop's on the eastside which is a hick fuckin bar that serves cans of beer but they do it 24 hours a day. Me and a buddy watched a live band there and drank all night one time and it was light out when we finally left. I ended up going to Buca on Friday cause I knew this girl that was bartending outside and she let us in for free and gave us free drinks and crap. I still dislike buca but our 20 yr old friend who had never been to a real bar was in heaven with the girls dancing on the bars.
