I think that's right opinion. I'm do think it's good that a person of color has finally gotten a chance, and that history has been made. But the bigger thing to celebrate is the fact that Bush is gone, and it looks like we now got a guy who shares some of the same ideals of many of us.
Whites are mainly of European decent and blacks are mainly of African. They both are just colors. And I wouldn't say most whites have a hundred different nationalities, but more like 2 or 3. I'm sure blacks have a couple different too being that Africa is a huge continent and America has immigrants from all over.
Word, thats real talk.
Why people making so much of issue around it? I know he the first black president but really who gives a fuck? As long as he does a good job for the people of the USA and has peaceful foreign policies who the fuck cares about his skin colour? Barack Hussein Obama's genealogy is mostly Caucasian, followed by Arabic and then African.
In all reality, he should be considered the first Arab-American president.

That being said, it still doesn't take away from the fact there is a 'black' man in the Oval Office. Socially, anybody who doesn't meet a whole lot of Arabs- be you white or black- would consider him black because of his skin tone. I know white AND black people who can't tell the fucking difference between an Indian and an Arab person, and that's as a result of complete ignorance toward foreign culture.
Anybody who pays attention to politics, connects the dots or isn't a complete fool would understand why Obama wouldn't forge a presidential campaign as the nation's first Arab-American president in 2008. Americans are complete fucking idiots, and many of them would simply associate the man with terrorism for the mere fact his name resembles or is pronounced similarly to the names of those being investigated for terrorist activities. It's psychological. All we have to do is stress his African-American lineage, excite the country about having the first "black" president; drawing out both the black and liberal white vote- and it overshadows the fact Obama is 1/2 white, 4/5 Arabic and 1/5 black. Add the fact there's never been a Republican candidate with twice as good an approval rating as Bush and had his party's successor win an election... and we've got a good formula for getting a Dem in office. It's campaigning and POLITICS MOTHERFUCKERS. Do any of you pay attention to history?
Some black people (and white for that matter) would stand in lines of ten to take a bullet for this man simply because they consider him the "first black president", but have not an ounce of knowledge of the man's political career, let alone the sense to google his actual ethnic ratio.
And for y'all that haven't gotten the news yet: there's only one race, and that's the human race. It's a proven fact human life originated in what is now modern day Africa and spread outward to the different continents (research it your lazy ass self, I know it's true). Many of our features are simple adaptations to our environment throughout time coupled with ancestral traits and mixed ethnicity breeding.
