There are LAWS that explicitly state the rights of a business when it pertains to somebody practicing their religion.

There are also LAWS that state the rights of a business to protect itself from things that can HARM the company.

If you weren't a fucking schmuck, you would understand this. Instead, you continue to argue a point which has NO merit in our current system.

the law gives the employer flexibility... and tells them to accommodate within reason... allowing her to wear the hijab during her shift as a hostess violated the company dress code policy so they tried to work it out with her by offering her other positions, and she didn't wanna accept them (most likely because she was out for money the whole time)

if my point had NO merit it would be an easy case... and Disney would have no argument in court

court decisions have gone both ways in similar situations

its the same thing, either choose to work at disneyland and deal wit the policy, or find a job that lets u wear what u want

now if disney didnt have a dress code, then i would agree that she should be allowed to wear it

this has nothin to do with her being muslim, christian disneyland workers arent allowed to wear a visible cross(its outta character, not based on religious preference) i know my homie used to work there

True enough, unless enough employee's get together and force a strike... Which workers CAN do, and have done in the past to make their point and get things done... I don't think it would/should be taken this far, honestly, as Disney should just accommodate to her and relocate her to another position... It would save themselves the bad PR, in the future...

they already tried relocating her to 4 other positions, which would allow her to wear the hijab. she refused them all.

She's an attention whore more than anything, to me. I don't see what point she's trying to get across by doing this. She became a citizen in June, tries to get permission to wear the hijab, August shows up, permission is still in process, she shows up wearing it anyway, she gets told she can't wear it and to take it off or go home without pay, she sues, but for what? Am I missing something?

Coldblooded put up a chart that shows what has happened over the last 50 years as far as revenue sharing and pay for employees. Ill give you a hint: the pay wage line was FLAT....the revenue line was an uphill climb.

If you HONESTLY feel that big business and corporations are a GOOD thing, you need to do some research, because is NOT. They have run this country into the GROUND.

I was simply pointing out that you were using the term 'corporation' as if it were interchangeable with 'big business'

And that's not the case at all. A corporation is a type of entity, and has nothing to do with the size of the company. Typically big businesses are set up as corporations, but not all corporations are big businesses.

I was correcting you, because it seemed you didn't know what you were talking about.

But even focusing on what you probably MEANT to say.... It's pretty bold to assume all "LARGE" corporations are bad, and are not keeping wages consistent with revenues

He called it a doo rag lol! Unfortunately ur opinion does not cover federal or state law. It's been dealt with all the way to the supreme court and is covered in the first amendment. It's termed disparate impact. Under tyranny of the majority she will lose in the "social court" but will win under federal and state law.
