When did rap become nothing but pops & whistles, growls & slowed to the pace of a retard. Seriously, people now only make music for the moment. Theres no music to inspire, no music to help you through shit. Just what I own & shake ya ass...That or "I'll kill you with 50 diffrent guns"...I accepted the fact in protest that this is what the mainstream has gone to...But now...even bay area artist are following suite. Its shamefull that we do such things. What once stood for originality, doing things our own way & suceeding has fallen into knock-offs of the current BET trends & its disgusting. Where is the melodies, where is the emotion in bay music. All I see is conforming. Even E-40 beatwise, I was unsure if I was listening to Mr.Flamboyant Water himself or the new Pete Pablo...& in my eyes that is a shame...

I feel u on that....most of the music coming out now...even if it's good....doesn't have that longetivity factor...I mean it might be hot, but like in two weeks..ur already bored of it...and ur looking for something else...well that's how i've been feeling about most of the bay area music...but when I pull out Mac Mall-Illegal Businness, RBL-Ruthless By Law, E-40 In A Major Way just to name a few....I mean it don't matter how old the cd is...that material is classic dope shit...and I can play that shit and never get tired of it....I'm hoping to see that kind of quality come out of the Bay real soon....

^^^ yup... For instance, I bet nobody can name a Bay album released in the last 5 years that they would put in the same list as the ones you just mentioned.

The albums these days dont have that longevity factor, and I dont really understand why... maybe we're just getting old

Y would u ban someone for posting what they feel or think? This is a forum isn't it? I mean it's just the opinion of a individual doesn't mean everyone feels the same. That's why people post up to get other people's feedback on things.
