some of ya'll do take it too seriously.if a word comes out you give a whole 80 mile radius credit when 1 man made the word up.you bitch when a dude from L.A. says it,he's a biter.but when you say it,aint you a biter too? i mean you did get it from someone else right? just cus you live in a city by the S.F. bay,you only get to say it? because the dude who made the word up happens to live in a city by the S.F. bay?just like when L.A. cats say they real gangstas cus crips & bloods started in L.A. they call other outta town sets copy cats.but technically,if you aint from the original crip or blood gang in the original era,your as much of a copy cat as outta towners...........

I kinda agree..ive picked up on "Bay slang over the past 10 years from albums to homies from out that way....and Seattle has been doin ok thus far on not bein too much ofa biter....except for that fuckin word "hella"...cant stand that shit...

It's just slang, its suppossed to be passed through the ghettos, now its played out when upper class white people use it, like bling bling.

What are you supposed to do? Use the word in a rap and just stop the song and say "Gotta give props to the Bay for that word. They'll think I stole it or think that I think I made it up if I don't give them their props."

Nobody said that they should've stopped the tape and said i gotta give props to the Bay for makin this word up. I also didn't say that nobody else could say the shit wither. What the hell are you talkin bout? If the Bay makes up a word then they make up a word simple as that. Of course one man probably created it but then it circulated through the streets and becomes a word synonomous with our culture. Thats just how slang evolves. You went way to far with that post. Based on what you said everybody in this country is a bitter off the dictionary cuz none of us made up none of them words but we use em everyday. lol the fuck outta here.

In the begin'n erbody used to laugh at us, no one showed love for the bay or the west, they clowned Our slang, yeah OURs... do we say 'whats up son?!' i know that aint no bay shit, some bay shit is some 'what it is cuzzin' type of shit. We always been orginal or flipped some weak ass shit and made it better and just hussled and ran wit it.Now everybody wants a sip.. let em have it, we'll just create some more game for em or flip it and make that shit sound weak - only these bay cats have the power to do some shit like that.
