Mercury News' columnist Tim Kawakami recently checked in with sources close to Monta Ellis, who has been rehabilitating his broken ankle.

'Ellis is working to get back healthy, but he is not happy with the Warriors, it’s getting worse, and he definitely is not pleased about rejoining a Warriors' universe that is ruled by Don Nelson and Robert Rowell,' writes Kawakami.

Of course i make a long post and it doesnt get posted cuz the sicc went down. This should be in the warriors thread, but oh well. First off, Tim K loves to stir shit up, and hes been saying this for months now. That doesnt mean its not true, but its been goin on for a while now. I think Monta doesnt appreciate that the team is still threatening to void his contract. Im just hoping the team doesnt implode like i get the feeling it will. If Monta came back, and Jax was healthy again, I think crawford/biedrins/jax/maggette/monta would be a dope heart and brain to build the team around.

NO TRUTH TO MONTA RUMORS

Now, according to multiple league sources, the story about Ellis' discontent is categorically false as well. One source close to Ellis told HOOPSWORLD that Ellis was shocked by the report of him being upset with the team and that he had absolutely no anger towards Nelson.

"Monta knows that Don Nelson is a big part of him becoming the player he's becoming and him earning everything that he has earned," the source, who requested anonymity, said. "He doesn't understand where any of this [expletive] is coming from. He's all smiles, all the time these days."

Yet another source explained that Ellis has been working very hard for his return and the only thing he is upset about is the Warriors' losing record. "He knows this team would be winning a lot more games if he hadn't messed up this summer," HOOPSWORLD was told. "He's got a lot of critics to quiet again and he will come back even stronger because of it."

also, my aunt is coo with Monta's family that lives here in the Bay. sometimes she asks about Monta and they say he REALLY wants to stay and play for the Warriors. They say he's happy living here and that he loves the fans here.

My boy threw his birthday party at the Room kind of recently, and him, Captain Jack, and Harrington all rolled up in their own Phantoms. 3 Phantoms parked consecutively on 6th & Mission. lol
