Case File
Few gangsters emblemize the tragedy of gang life – and the failed promise of so many who follow that path – more than “Monster” Kody Scott, a best-selling author and career criminal. A legend in south central Los Angeles for his fearsome devotion to gang violence, Scott became a subject of mainstream fascination after the 1992 riots in L.A. cast a national spotlight on the conditions which led to that uprising.

The publication of his thoughtful and provocative gang memoir “Monster,” written while in prison, was at once a frightening journey through his past and a tantalizing harbinger of his possible redemption. For all his talent as a writer and the possibilities that it offered for a turn toward a more conventional career, Scott’s enduring emotional ties to “the life” would be his downfall.

Yeah but there is alot of truths as well.. I knew some of his homies and before there was ever a book I done heard same shit that ended up in the book
Ihear that. I just hope that the movie sticks as close to the book as possible. Like I said, I hit up the email address on the movie website and they hit me back saying it will be released early 2009.

Don't get me wrong my nigga.. I ain't saying he was lying about everything, but obviously the nigga is biased, as is every nigga about their hood.. I know Kody, I know Lil Monster, and alot of the prison shit he talked about was extra'd out.. And not even on a gangbanging, red rag, blue rag, tip.. The nigga portrayed himself as working towards steering away youth from gangbanging, but the nigga was still jacking his homies to support his rock habit.. No lies, no bias, just the real homie!

Yes Sir..I believe that, lets face it if ya read the book and realized how much trouble he has been since and for what kind of crimes...he was just tryin to make money, and them extras is whats entertaining. Also his story is similar to alot of others ..you know how many times I heard..." When i get out Im gettin my shit together..fuck the pen, and shit sounds good but a week later they been real active...anyways It was actually a good book, I also remember a book..i believe by the author Leon Bing called Do or Die came out in the late 80's the book was a good read as well.
