Mononucleosis? "Kissing disease"

Is it possible to get "mono" if you know for a fact you have only been kissing one person? I know for a fact I haven't been kissing no other girl and nor has my girl. I'm the only one feeling sick too, so it's wierd.


Right now as I type, I have a mild sore throat (left side to be exact). Left side of my neck is a bit swollen too. And I feel like I have a slight fever. :ermm:

I felt like this at work today also (minus the fever), and a bit tired, but not enough to make me want to go home and stop what I was doing. I had a lil headache at work too, but it went away.


I could be tripping, it could just be signs that I'm about to come down with the common cold or flu, but these sore throats and swelling on my left neck side got me thinking it could maybe be something else. Mono is my only thought, but then again, me and my girl and ain't cheating, so I'm confused. I've had the sore throat/neck swell off and on for the past couple of days.

WTF, I don't even have health insurance either. Help me Obama. haha

do you have bumps anywhere on your genitilia? here is what i want you to do, feel yourself up, you are doing an exam to yourself.

gently grab your balls and lift them outward and upward a lil, then feel the skin around and underneath your balls and see if you have any bump like goose pimple things.

Serious? Honestly my balls look and feel the same. I had sex yesterday.


BTW, that doesn't seem to be one of the symptons according to wiki.

BTW, my sore throat and swelling pretty much does go away when I take pain meds. I took some Naproxen. But that was the case the past few days. It'll go away with the meds, but come back.

Is a sore throat caused by mono worse than mine?

that's good, the test you just took was to test for genital warts.

so the results is you do not have genital warts, congratulations,

but shit you might still have mono, i am no expert on mono, only genital warts,

so i would advise you to go to a local clinic.

my glands around my ears and neck area got hella swollen when i had mono.........I was hella weak and tired with fever, sore throat as well but mainly felt physically tired and shitty for days until i finally went to a doctor and gave me some meds to help remedy the illness.......That's all i can remember since that was when i was back in high school......many many moons ago..

You also have symptoms of common strep. Which is something thats goin around. The sore throat associated with mono is very very severe usually. To where you cannot swallow almost. When you do swallow it is severely painful.

I bet you got strep throat. Naproxen is not a good pill to take for pain. It is an anti inflamatory. It only helps with the inflamation. I guess if inflamation is causing pain it can help. but.... Do you have any white shit or spots on your toungue or back of the throat? If it was mono your glands would swell. like behind the neck and ears like someone else said. Mono also takes a while for your bodies to try and build anti bodies before it gives way and comes down with the virus. Some people longer than others.

And WHO THE HELL ARE YOU TO SAY THAT YOU KNOW YOUR GIRL HASN'T BEEN KISSING ON ANY1?????

TRUST NO BITCH. EVER MAN. THATS RULE 1.

then again if your young enough to get mono then you are young enough to still "trust" a female. lol

she's a carrier. and she been making out with someone else.

i've had it before and not showed symptoms...and i've had it and got super fucking sick.

maybe you drank off someones drink who has it? but....sounds like someone been kissin other people to me...you d'nt just "get" mono for no reason.
