I always wondered what rappers would rather have.....Would they rather have people not fuck wit there music at all, or would they rather have people download their shit. That is what the game is right now. I'm buying a select few people's music, downloading the rest.

i feel what fab is saying, i've been saying that shit for years but him and everyone in the music business today has to deal with the cold reality that most people will not pay for something that they can get for free.

The game has changed and its getting to the point that people won't be selling cds anymore in the next few years and recording artists are going to have to eat off their music in other ways like getting people to buy concert tickets, merchandise, getting their music in movies, commercials and TV shows. Rappers need to adapt with the times because its only gonna get worse if they are relying on album sales alone.

Yeah but I think every independent rapper knows this fact already. I am happy to see independent rappers embrace technology and use videos and internet sites like myspace and twitter. However, it seems like independent rappers are not using these tools the correct way...which is why I think concerts and merch, and tv/movies havent materialized for certain artists...and when that happens it forces a lot of artists to rely solely on CD sales, which means you will get a bunch of angry rappers on youtube whining about downloading.

Fab is hell of funny...He has the personality to get the nation to embrace him, but sometimes the music is lacking. The part that is truly fucked up is that if he does get the music, songs to match his personality on camera- more people will download his material. It is not going to stop until the labels, the computer companies and the government all come together and creative laws and technologies to put some form of a cap on piracy.
