Attn: Non-Blacks who use the word N#gga:

Point is, it doesn't matter if YOUR black friends don't care if you say the word or not. The fact that just ONE black person on this earth is offended by a non-black's use of the word, should be enough of a reason for any non-black to decide not to use it. I mean... knowing that there are black people out there who are offended by the use of the word by non-blacks, what possible rationale could you have for using it anyway? That you don't care what them "NIGGAS" think???... If that is the case then I would venture to say that you're not as enlightened as you think you are, and that you're no better than a Klansman, Neo-Nazi, or Skinhead who uses it...

my opinion

Till African Americans quit calling each other the word in a positive or negative mannor all points and views on others races using the word are hypocritical in my eyes. Although I get where your coming from its just hard to agree when people dont live by example. Racism/slavery has been experienced by every culture known to man not just African Americans. Not all slave owners were white ppl lol too for your info. From the Moors who owned white slaves, to New world settlers who bought Irish Slaves, black slaves, To the Chinese who enslaved there own people....all races one way or another were slaves and/or slave owners at one time in history.

but on the record.. no white person should be using it in music, as far as with friends I dont know how they were raised or who they were raised with so that's a individuals choice and there responsibility to deal with others reactions to it.

some people grew up with black friends
i grew up a part of black families

thanksgiving, christmas, family bbq's etc

i only remember a few white dudes who would slide around...i think they all said that word...nobody ever tripped

they also weren't invited back to the house or to the family/neighborhood functions...couldn't imagine trying to explain that word coming out their mouth to the aunties/uncles/grandmas/family friends etc...it's not why they weren't invited back...but it was only those who weren't part of the core who said it

i'll tell you this, any non-black person that says that shit as part of their normal lexicon 9 times out of 10 is a piece of shit scandalous ass person. every mexican person or white person i've ever known that said that shit every other word on some v-nasty shit has been a piece of shit in some way. which is an interesting insight, because i'm confident if you thought about who you've heard say like that it you'd say the same thing.

This is the hypocritical shit im talking about. all races look dumb when the n word is used every other sentance they speak. I think people need to focaus on getting that word abloshied out of there own social circles before pointing the finger at other races saying it.

Its not hypocritical because all "African Americans" dont use that word. The NAACP been tryna stop the use of it for a long time now with a strong following, you can look at folks like that as an example instead of ignorant rappers.

Bottom line is its not cool. Not even for blacks, so it really really aint cool for other races. If you say it and you black, its like smokin cigarettes, you do it, but you know you need to quit.

This has got to be one of the most ignorant posts I've ever seen. Not only do you attempt to justify YOUR use of the word but you also go on to generalize a whole race of people with the typical "If black people use it..." reponse. The worst part about your post is YOU trying to downplay/justify AMERICAN slavery by bringing up irrelevent/unrelated events that didn't even occur here. Yeah, you probably shouldn't expect to have much of a rap career saying some semi-racist shit like that (Then again Kreayshawn got a mill so maybe there is hope for you). LOL The fact of the matter is American slavery, racism and the N-word are all tied in together and all that other shit that happened in China, and the Moors or whatever..is irrelevent to the discussion. LOL@Trying to downplay 500 years of slavery...Stop it. And Yeah, slavery ended 100's of years ago..but you brought it up so that's that.

I'm amazed at the fact that you take part in black music and claim to have black family members yet STILL make these ignorant comments. It's just further proof that most of you white folks are inconsiderate to others and have no fucking clue about what racism really is about, no matter how "down" you claim you are. LOL

And LOL@It's OK to say it...just not in your music. WTF is the difference?

Look, if you white and yo black friends give u a past, consider yourself fortunate. That don't give you the right to disrespect black people as a whole by saying that shit. And it shouldn't make you feel like you have the same entitlement to the word as black people do. Know YOUR limitations. I don't presume to limit anybody from anything, but people know what right and wrong is. It don't matter who you are, how tough or hard you are or where you from. Everybody got limitations and its a time and place for everything. The shit is about respect. Damn right black people are hypocritical about the "N-Word." I ain't proud of it, but I almost feel like we have a right to be. That word is synonymous with a struggle that no other race in this country is familiar with in the same way.
